RANT: David's Bridal

So, remember how I was all, "Oh, I swore I'd never set foot in DB, but actually I got my shoes there & they weren't bad at all!"
Well, I take it back.  When I had them dye my shoes, I had to give them my phone # (since I had to leave the shoes there).  Yeah, they sold my #.  I missed a call today from an 888 number, so I googled it, and apparently this has happened to many brides, they sell your number to other companies & you get harrassed.
Moral of the story: don't even go in there.  Even if you want cute, dyeable shoes.  GRRRR!

I only bought a headband there and DH got about 100 phonecalls from them and there subsidiaries. I will never set foot in there again unless I'm asked to be a BM and she chooses dresses from DB.

Tygirl-don't let them make you fill out the stuff in the front. Just tell themyou want to do a onetime thing and it doesn't require leaving your information.

David's Bridal is nuts... sorry jennyann!

I don't know if they necessarily sell your number, they just pass it along to their subsidiaries. I got SO many freaking calls from Men's Warehouse or Tux Shop (I don't remember, whichever one they own). They don't leave a message, just call a billion times. However, after googling it and finding who it was, I answered the next call and told them to remove me from their call list. I haven't received a call since.

I've bought several things through them, my wedding dress, two bridesmaid dresses, shoes, a couple of bolero jackets and have never gotten a call from them or anyone else because of doing business there. That was the Tukwila shop.
They've always been very helpful. They even let me exchange a dress for a very fickle 15 year old girl who decided she didn't like the guava color.

I thought the same thing... no DB.... but I ended up getting my dress there and luckily, I haven't gotten ANY calls. I do NOT plan on getting anything else there though. Thanks for sharing that little nugget of goodness...
