Why can't I have the perfect wedding?

Alright, so it started with my FI's cousin, who got engaged right after us, then he chose his wedding date the WEEKEND before ours. He wanted the same venue but luckily they were already booked. I let it go, because for one thing my FI wouldn't say anything, and the cousin is a selfish person. So I just moved on like nothing happened.

Then one of my bridesmaids got upset because I chose pink as my bridesmaid color and it was too close to her's, which was apple red. She got married last November!  I didn't say anything, other than it's my wedding and I'll choose whatever color I want.

Now, I'm dealing with a childhood friend who thinks she should have been in the wedding. We haven't spoken in 7 months!

Ugh, why can't people just let me have MY wedding?

Sorry about the rant, but I need some advice on what to do?

Two things you need to have "the Perfect Wedding" - you and your FI.

As to the cousin: Oh well.  Let him have his wedding his way, just as you want yours.  I do suggest you not mention any wedding plans around him, since he seems to like the same things you and your FI have chosen (i.e., the same reception venue).  I would not stress over it being a week before yours - my roommate and my cousin were married the same day - which happened to be my birthday too!  I went to both, as they were at different times, and had alot of fun!

The bridesmaid:  She has NO say in what color/colors you choose for the wedding UNLESS you ask your BP to "wear whatever you like", which you obviously did not.  She can get over herself, or step down from being a BM.

Childhood friend: Ignore her.  She wants to whine and cry like a child, let her.  Get on with your wedding planning.

YOU: Dont worry about everyone else.  Just focus on enjoying the planning and do what you want to do - it will be perfect!
