I actually have a Father's Day gift in mind for DH already

DH uses my vacuums for crappy things.  Like sucking up drywall/plaster bits, or xmas tree needles.

I've had to have him ungunk my good vacuums several times after he's used them.

He needs a shopvac.  He's getting a shopvac.

Man, it's so much fun to shop for him when I actually have an idea.

Get one w/ wheels.
I know, most of them have wheels.
I have one w/o.  it SUCKS.  well, it sucks, but doesn't roll.  Hate.

I used H's shop vac for the first time on Saturday.  It was exciting.  I love vacuuming and vacuuming leaves and other gunk out of the garage was extra satisfying.

I think I'm getting DH a new coffeemaker for father's day.  I almost want to see if I can find a cart or something so that he can actually have a 'coffee bar' because his coffee isht all over the counter makes me crazy.

If you don't have a vacuum chamber, you can deflate peeps/marshmallows/etc in a plastic bag w/ a shop vac.  But don't do it when it's hot, in the sun, or else they melt down into the machine. 

(shop vacs are handy for science demos is what I"m saying.  Also used, w/ plastic bags,  to create a vacuum around a speaker so you can prove sound doesn't travel w/o air)
