I'm getting all nervous

My mom is having her thyroid removed today. When I spoke to my dad at 7:45 am, she was being wheeled back for surgery. My dad just said he won't have any more info till about noon. I really want to hear from them before I have to get on my plane at 3 pm this afternoon. In all likelihood, everything is fine but no news is just making me antsy.

    Dog is doing great. She loves to eat- so now that we have to grind up her food and moisten it to make it soft it's heaven. All the food you can eat in half the time! You would honestly have no idea anything was wrong with her. We go back to the surgeon on the 30th to get the all clear.

    Yes- sorry. They took all of her thyroid and everything else around there looked good except for a really large lymph node which they biopsied. The masses/nodules she had on her thyroid weren't as large as they thought which was good. She'd been having some issues with her voice and her vocal cords looked good. My dad said she was able to speak in a whisper and was hopped up on morphine.
