Intro - I'm a new July 14 bride!

Hi! My name is Carrie and I got engaged on December 17, and we are going to rush through this engagement and get hitched! Luckily I'm pretty organized and decisive, so I already have lots of details covered:
-Venue
-Band
-Dress
-Flowers (doing my own)
-Cake
-DOC
-Wedding Party
-Website

The next big thing is photography, and I'm meeting with four (FOUR!) today. It's going to be crazy hectic, but I should have one by the end of today. The only problem is FI is a commercial phtographer and director of photography so he is very picky. He would be going with me today but he's in Los Angeles this week.

Well, I better go plan some more... I'm a CPA and tax season is nipping at my heels!

congrats!!! we are similar in our time periods - i got engaged nov. 21 2011 and am getting married july 28 2012. i am also super decisive and had to make quick decisions - but it was very much how FI and i operate as a couple to make decisions quickly and get things done, so hopefully it all works out as well for you guys as it has for us so far

Congrats! You got a lot done in such a short time.  That tax season is probably make you move a bit faster.  I know as a CPA as well that tax season is upon us (at least at my firm) and it's going to be a crazy one for sure.

Well the venue was a no-brainer because my parents got married at the same lake we are getting married on (their venue has been closed for 20 years though), and the date is FI's 30th birthday (my parents got married on my dad's 25th). So we did that in less than a week, and from what I hear that's usually the hardest part!

Plus my dad is a party czar and he has already kicked it into overdrive.

I got engaged Dec 18th and am a July 14th bride too!!! Was supposed to be 7/7 but just found out today we're doing the 14th instead. You are WAY ahead of me, I just know venue1

Congrats! I'm a July 14th bride too! (Was August 18, but we bumped it up last week.) You have WAY more planned than me, and I've been engaged since July 13th!
