Would do/Wouldn't do

Sorry this is kind of late.  I've been thinking for days.
Would do:DW again.  It was awesome.  Everyone had a great time and everyone loved the AI.  Several people commented on not having to worry about having their wallets.
Fans.  If you don't have them, ADD them. 
Trash the dress.  I didn't get to do this but the bottom of my dress is so dirty and I think the pics would have been amazing. 
Bring our own photog.  The Sandal's guy was really nice but we didn't really like any of the pics.  For our free pic we ended up getting a pic he took of our rings.    
Not have a wp.  After everything others have said I am really glad we didn't have one.  In the end though Matt's brother ended up standing with him and I think he was glad. 
Bring a few small touches even if you aren't concerned with the details.  The table numbers and menus really looked nice on the tables.  And I loved the bride and groom signs I made for our chairs. 
Double check with the officiant to make sure they have and can pronounce your names especially if you haven't met.
Wouldn't do: Paper fans.  They were great though I would not include them in the OOT bags but have them on the chairs bc people forgot to bring them and they tore easily.
Drink the night before.

I love the wouldn't do: drink the night before. That is probably great advice, remind me of that one before I leave!! It looks like you had a lot of things you did in your would do, love it!! So glad you had such an amazing wedding!!

I'm putting a heavy ban on WP drinking. No drinking 12 hours before the wedding. FI is going to stay the night in his best man's room with all of the guys to enforce this rule and I'll have my girls in our room. If they do booze it up and it's obvious.. they're getting pulled from the WP post haste. Including the groom. LOL

YAY!  I love reading these!  Good comment about the drinking!  I could see how it gets a little crazy.  A wedding in Vegas we went to, everyone partied too hard the first two nights we were all in town that by the time the wedding night came around, we were soooo exhausted!

Makes me feel better about doing the fans!  I think they will come in handy, especially since we're getting married at 4ish instead of later in the evening where it could be cooler!

It was SOOO hot in St Lucia.  Even with clouds and sprinkles it was hot.  I was so glad to have a fan.  I def would not do paper though.  

As for the drinking it is pretty easy to have a good time and forget what you need to do

I bought medium palm fans from https://destinationweddingfavors.com. I already have extra little monogram tags that I'll put on them with some ribbon.  DONE

Great tips!  I'm having paper program fans but I think we'll be okay since it's November in FL and at sunset.  We'll see though, it may be something I need to look into!

The fan tip is great, I would have put them in the OOT bags but now I don't think I will! I actually had no plans for fans at all, but we will be in Mexico at a very hot time of the year and our ceremony is at 4:30 so I'm sure fans will be appreciated. Thanks for the tips!

The fan is a great tip. I was really close to getthing the paper ones because I was thinking of a way to get the program itself on the actual fan, but ill have to figure out another way to get that done.

I have to remember, no drinking the night before....thats gonna be a toughie...lol

As everyone else said, the fan is a great tip. I definitely just bought some off of the link that Sarah posted :P The tip about checking with the officiant about pronunciation is also a big one for me. 

And thanks for the reminder about not drinking the night before!
