Elite Signature DJ's Atlanta Warning

Hey all,
Just wanted to post a warning about this dj service. I couldn't find any local reviews of them before I booked them, and didn't want anyone else to suffer the experience I had. They were running a special - about $500 for 4 hours and they'll throw in lights for the dance floor. You fill in your timeline, must play, play if there's time, and do not play lists online and submit those. They assure you this information will be used for your service. It will not. David, our dj, assured me a week before the wedding that he had all the info and was good to go. He then proceeded to show up at our wedding with a friend in tow, no timeline, had no idea he was supposed to announce the wedding party, missed our first dance (we later had to request it), we had to request the dinner, cake cutting and departure announcements. I specifically had to ask them to stop playing country music and to look at our "play list" which they continued to ignore in favor of our "do not play" list. I truly cannot conceive of how they could have been worse. Seriously, plug in an iPod. At least you won't be paying for someone to ruin your reception for you.

Sounds bad. I'm having a very hard time finding an Atlanta DJ. I thought that was going to be the easy part.

Sorry about a horrible experience! You should definitely post your reviews at other online forums, as it helps all plan.   YMW - we used Atlanta Bands and DJ's.  Ted Crowder is the contact (should find it on the site) and we LOVED them.

Try To The Rescue Entertainment. I've read several happy reviews.

It sounds like a company with several DJs. Generally, this stuff is more likely to happen when you do not meet the DJ beforehand or if there are multiple DJs you could wind up with. From what I have heard, it's best to go with a lone DJ or team, or just to meet the person who will actually be overseeing your wedding prior to the date. Even if the company doesn't know when you book, surely they would know within a month or 2 weeks of your date.
