Event "Design" vs DIY

Has anyone hired an event design company to set up your wedding or reception and if so how much does it cost (I understand price would vary depending on what you want)?  Trying to determine the trade off between convenience and price in hiring an event designer to set up my reception or buying/renting everything, hauling it to the site, and setting it up myself...

    You would save money doing DIY. I would hire a day of coordinator and have her set it all up. You can sell the stuff after the wedding and get some of your money back, too.

    good luck finding a corrodinator who is will to "set it up" they corrodiante- hence the name, they normally OVERSEE and they do not do the labor of set up. diy on your own wedding? isn't the enough to do all ready- hire trusted professional- why leave anything to chance
