Things you're cutting out...

What are some "traditions" you aren't including in your wedding? (i.e. no bouquet/ garter toss, not having a bridal party, etc)

- no bouquet/garter toss

- no ring bearer (but we do have a flower girl)

- no mother/son dance (but we will have a father/daughter dance)

- we may not do programs for the ceremony, unless FI feels like designing something simple so we can order them from Vistaprint using a coupon

- no unity candle/sand/etc. at the ceremony. we are having a reader though.

That's all I can think of right now.

We're cutting a lot of stuff:
- no bridal party
- no parent/mother/son/father/daughter dances, only first dance between me an FI
- no bouquet toss/ garter toss
- no limo
- no church ceremony, since we're both not religious
- no ring bearer/ flower girl
- no grand exit
etc...

We did not have a garter toss / bouquet toss, no unity candle, no exit, we did not smash cake in each other's faces.

We haven't actually even discussed any of this yet but here are the things I don't want to do -

- Unity Candle (not allowed at the church)
- Garter toss
- Ring Bearer (there's only one little boy I've ever imagined being my ring bearer, but he's my ex's nephew, so obviously that would be awkward.)
- Smashing cake in each other's faces

Gosh we are cutting out so much.  

• No religious ceremony
• no bouquet toss/garter
• we are not having a wedding cake but several giant creme donuts from the amazing bakery in the area
• we have not written our ceremony yet but its outside by the lake.  There is a campfire pit and instead of unity candle we are going to light the campfire
• no typical rehearsal dinner- we are having a rehearsal but everyone is invited to check-in Friday (its a full weekend) and attend the "dinner" which is going to be a roast of myself and my fiance around a campfire 
• The morning we get married- entire bridal party will be joining the guests on the zip line prior to getting ready

We're having cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake
