Wright's Mill Farm

Has anyone had/been to a wedding here? Any thoughts on the venue?

FI and I almost had our wedding there. It is beautiful and I am still a little sad that we couldn't make it work. It was just a $$ thing for us (we're now having it at home). The indoor space was lovely, but we were planning on having our reception in their pavillion. We were going to do the ceremony at the pond, but they also have a waterfall where you can have the ceremony. Really beautiful.

Thanks for the input Milestogo. To save money, we are doing a brunch reception and for their brunch, the price is very good and is cheaper than some of the other venues we are looking at. I have looked at the website, but it is not a very impressive website and I had a feeling that it doesn't do the site justice :)

I went to a wedding there...very pretty place.  The only thing I would "complain" about is the location. trying to find that place was such a pain...some guests showed up late.

Thanks so I should probably include a detailed directions insert if we chose this location :)

My FSIL had her wedding there and it was great, from what I've heard -- before my time. A friend just got married there and only has great things to say about it.

My wedding is booked there. I did not find the website very helpful. But once I saw it in person we decided as soon as we left that it was the place. I wanted to make sure we had a nice place to take our pictures and the property is perfect. I've been working with Linda and she is very helpful with everything. When we went there we got to see it set up for weddings the following day so we know exactly how it will look which helped a lot. But we chose the inside small room cause it can get hot in June.

Thanks so much, we were a little put-off by the website and that TERRIBLE 80s wedding video, but Linda has been so helpful that we were torn on whether or not we want to tour it. Your comments have helped us decide that we definitely want to go take a look :)

I went and looked at it to me its not great, the outside looks like a barn then the inside the things hanging down are like these white squares from the rafters, the waterfall is pretty but has limited space & I liked the idea of doing a horse in carriage... to let you know this place is out in the middle of no where there are like old farms w/junkie fences n stuff so if your guests are not familar from the area you should really arrange for alot of transportation, they will book multiple weddings the same day and just split the room in half, the bar is built into the wall which was interesting, they are set w/the times. I'm not sure how big of a place you were looking for I looked at about 22 venues I believe so if you want some opinions please let me know, I personally love waters edge, avon old farms inn (doing the ceremony at elizabeth park... rose garden is OMG) & the nutmeg all three the food is great the prices are pretty good and at both Waters & Avon you have a planner for the day included. Wadesworth mansion is also beautiful but you have to plan everything else aka catering, bar ect but it is really pretty. If you want to email me its majstikleo at gmail dot com.
