Stop & Shop or Big Y for flowers?

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has used or has known anyone that has used Big Y or Stop and Shop for flowers? I have a meeting with both of them this week and was curious about experiences people may have had.  I'm on a tight flower budget and although they are not a huge priority for me I'd like them to still be nice. : )

I don't know where you are, but my flowers were done by Karen at Stop&Shop in Stamford.  I can't say enough about her or how fabulous her work was.

I believe another couple girls on the board used her as well.

I've been to a few weddings (including a family member) where they used Stop & Shop and I just wasn't too impressed, nor was the bride. I did see Price Chopper flowers for a wedding and they were beautiful. I think it really just boils down to who the florist is and not so much the store. The thing I didn't like about S&S was 2 times they left the stems unwrapped so they were wet and they can also stain the dresses. Also, the quality of the flowers weren't too great. Price Choppers just looked more professional to me. HTH

Not sure where you are, but I'm using Stew Leonards.  The quality is great and the price was comparable to S&S!

I think it depends on where they're coming from. Stamford Stop and Shop will have amazing flowers...Waterbury, probably not so much.
My boss's daughter got hers from Stamford Stop & Shop and they were unbelievable.

Thanks everyone! I'm from the Branford area so if I go with one of them it'll probably be one of the stores close by.  It sounds like it's worth checking out.

I'm using S&S but I don't need centerpeices just wedding party flowers.
