Tables-Size & How Many Each Sits

Hey, everybody. FMIL emailed me the tables she's getting from her church and local grange. (All free, am I cheap or what? lol)
Anyway she sd:
8- six foot tables
4 - eight foot tables. We also have

We havent sent invites yet, but we are inviting roughly 100-120 people. Not to say everyone will attend.

BUT how many ppl can sit at each table comfortably? I want to be sure we have enough space for everyone. Plus a table for gift and 1 for the cupcakes/cake.

Thanks!!!

Re: Tables-Size & How Many Each Sits

  • Really only 6 will fit super-comfortably at the 6 foot tables (unless you have 1 at each end, then 8, but I don't know how comfy that would be- I guess it'd depend on the style of your table?), and I would imagine you could comfortably add 2 more to the 8 foot ones.

Long tables look fantastic IMO, but they just take up so much more room/ seat so little number of people compared to round ones :-/

  • I agree with PP about number of people at each table. I would wait to see how many people RSVP and then rent the extra tables.

  • I agree with pp also you may want to look at your other vendors I know I have to rent a 6 foot table for the dj and a 8 foot for the caterer. Also where will you sit. My girlfriend did long tables last summer (which are totally adorable). She decided to sit with the guests. She had some difficulties sitting with all of them because of the size of her dress. She didnt leave it any room Just a Thought :)
