Vendor refusing to contact me to refund my security deposit

Hey ladies,

As you all know, a certain vendor (my venue), had has been horrible. He owes me my $500 REFUNDABLE Security Deposit. It has been 19 days since my wedding, so definitley has been 7-10 Business days, which I believe is the acceptable norm. I have called 3 times, left messages and emailed...

Does anyone have suggestions of what I can do to get my money back from my reception hall vendor? I am soooo frustrated by this guy!

Love & Miss you guys!

Yup, show up there and speak with him. If he cant help you, demand to speak with someone above him. If that still doesnt work the call Help me Howard, lol.

I would suggest that you show up there in person, contract in hand and demand the deposit.

I  had totally forgotten about our depost and when I contacted my venue to ask why they never sent it they said I have to request it.  They finally sent it to me, but I was very putt off by the fact that they dont take it upon themselves to mail you the check that is rightfully yours.

Aww sweetie I'm sorry! What does your contract say (how many days do they have to refund it)? If its passed that date then I would send a certified letter requesting check be in the mail by end of next week or that you will file suit. Some people are like that :-( Just had to do that with the last condo we rented but hey we got our money back.

That's horrible! I agree with all previous posts. Show up with your contract.

but lol.. this made me think of a Family Guy episode where Stewie wants his money from Brian. He pretty much beats him up and then some.

LOVE That Family Guy ep! It is DH's FAVORITE! "Where's my money, Brian? Where's my money? You got money for fake mustaches, huh?"

In my last email, I told him I would be stopping by on Saturday, since I know he will be there setting up a wedding, because he is SOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY. And I know he won't treat me like poo in front of another customer.

But I WILL definitley send him a certified letter if this weekend doesn't work out.

And also, he is such a D bag... we didn't have a "contract"... should have been my first warning. I have my "final bill" from him which does clearly state the "Refundable Security Deposit" but there is no verbiage clarifying when he must return it by.
