Vendor Rec's

Hi again,

Curious if you could rec a wedding venue around LA County for up to 200 people (but more than likley 150)

Curious to know what the average cost per person around the city is. We are looking to spend around $100 pp. Is this doable?

Also looking for the other following vendors:

Photographer (with rough estimates of cost)
Videographer
DJ / Band
Florist

And if you have had a great experience with any bridal gown boutiques that would be great as well. Thank you again!

Don't know about places really, because my wedding was much smaller.

$100 pp?  No problem!  You will be fine with that!

I used Noel and Ali from Peace4artphoto.com  They were fantastic and well priced.  (Don't know their current rates.)

    Didn't use a videographer.

We used James Loram for our DJ, however, he is on the expensive side.  But he does everything and is extremely organized and awesome!!!

I know a lot of gals use Commerce Flowers.  We had a deal through my SIL so can't really speak about prices.

    HTH!

$100 is totally doable. If I'm not wrong I think we payed about $55 pp

For photographer I recommend Nataly Lemus. She was our photographer and then our sister's then a friend and looks like she might be doing my cousin's wed also. She is very affordable and her work is beautiful. www.natalylemus.com www.natalylemusphoto.blogspot.com

Videographer I recommend HD Invision. Not cheesy at all and also does beautiful work.

For flowers I recommend Commerce Flowers. www.commerceflowers.com

I adored my photographer - Kristine Ambrose. We paid around $1700 for 8+ hours of shooting and high-res images. A friend of mine is using her and having a wedding for around 180 people and she quoted around $3k-$3500 I think because she'll be using a second shooter, etc.

We spent around $100/pp and I found that to be quite do-able in LA. Of course you can always spend more, but many women on here have spent less. We had an evening sit-down dinner reception, too.

thank you very much for all your helpful replies! I am excited to start getting ideas! I don't even begin to know how much to budget since I moved from Atlanta this past year. I am still getting my feet wet in LA so to speak! :) Ah the joys of internet romance!

Great dress salon in Fullerton called The Dresser. I went to 3 different salons and this place had hands down the best customer service and widest selection.
There is nothing nobler or more admirable than when two people who see eye to eye keep house as man and wife, confounding their enemies and delighting their friends.
