Hello All:
Well I am Newly Engaged! We got engaged August 17, 2010, our wedding is going to be exactly a year and one month from our engagement date:
September 17, 2011! I am very excited to be marrying my best friend and most incredible man in the whole wide world! (I know we all feel that way)
I just wanted to take a moment to just really brag about my man, bc he is HONESTLY everything a woman hopes for in a man and much more. & Now that we are engaged I just wish time would just fly by so that I can begin calling him MY HUSBAND!
We met on a nice summer day @ the restaurant where he works, my fav sea food place, where I have been going for years. He has been there for 2 years and NEVER had we seen each other until that day. I brushed off our "meet cute" @ that moment. & my sister whom I was having lunch with started saying "he is cute, you should talk to him..." etc. I, at this point wasnt focusing on dating anyone at the time.
To make a longer story short, a couple weeks later, I take a trip to Mexio and receive a text message in Spanish (he is from Aguascalientes, Mexico) & I NEVER get Spanish texts so I was like "Ok, WRONG NUMBER" lol
Then come to find out it was HIM! My sister went back a week or two later and gave him my number!
Of course after learning who it was that messaged me I was infuriated and dialed my sister right away!
Needless to say from this point forward he was very persistant, kinda annoying actually and FINALLY I gave him a chance and we had a date! He invited me over to his place for dinner. He cooked, we talked, & after everything he said to me about me and wanting to get to know me better, etc. I would have been a fool to not give him a chance! Everything happend so fast between us. Its like BOOM, I have a boyfriend...6 months later, BOOM living together...then another 6months-- WHAM! He proposes! Guess he liked it cuz he sure did put a ring on it!
He is such a gentleman and just really showed me that TRUE LOVE does exist! He treats me like a lady and proved that CHIVALRY is not DEAD! He opens my doors, gives me his hand to get up when seated, makes me walk on the inside if we're on the sidewalk (away from the street) just all the little things that make my heart smile!
Ever since that day, that moment, that I accepted to be his "girlfriend" bc he totally asked me to be. My life changed and he has shown me MANY great things, NOT only about LOVE but LIFE!
I am so grateful and thankful to God (and my sister) for blessing me with such a wonderful man and putting him in my path! VIVA LA OBANA (Obed + Ana wedding)
