The Bride's Room--CLOSED?

Hello ladies, so I heard this place mentioned a lot on these boards so I figured I would check them out.  I recently went to Yelp and it says that their closed?  Can anyone verify this? Also, are they moving to a different location or gone for good?  TIA!

I didn't hear that they closed.  I was in there 2 weeks ago and they were open. However, I wouldn't recommend them.  I bought my dress there (a sample) which I love and had a good experience buying.  However, I ordered my BM dresses from them and had an awful experience.  I've also heard of two other instances where they said that the bride or BMs must have been 'confused' and that they 'didn't know where the confusion came from.'  The whole thing left me thinking they are very unprofessional.

Most likely they are closed. My co-worker bought her dress there during their going out of business sale in September.

Yes I called them 3 weeks ago and they didn't have what I wanted and couldn't get it because they said they were closing.

That's interesting to hear.  Like I said, I was in there 2 weeks ago and a saleswoman told a bride to come back for her BM dresses.  Regardless, stay away.

I was there about a month ago.  My sales person said they were selling all of their inventory for $500 per dress to clear out and that they were going to be merging with another local shop and re-evaluating which lines they sold.  She did not say which shop they were going into business with.  I'm pretty sure the location will be different, though, because they had a For Rent sign out front.

I also purchased my dress there in September when they were selling off their inventory.  The girl there told me the same thing creese72 was told.  They are merging with another bridal salon, the woman at that particular bridal salon is retiring.  She wouldn't tell me the name yet, though, because the merger wasn't finalized.  HTH!

The (new) place is in Park Ridge. The # to call to set up an appt is (847)692-4600. I have not called it yet, but am planning to next week to set up an appt. I found a dress at the Bride's Room in Sept, but since it was one of the FIRST dresses I tried on, I was scared to buy. Now I realize it couldn've been THE ONE and am kicking myself since its been sold :(

They are taking over Saran Bridal in Park Ridge, where I ordered my dress from. The owners have been ok to work with---but I am still waiting on my dress and 10 bridesmaid dresses and I am 78 days out!!!

Interesting- I stopped in there in July or so to look at bridesmaids dresses because the designer's website said they sold them.  They said that about a month before, they'd stopped selling bridesmaids dresses because of lack of business and were just doing bridal gowns.  They said too many people buy their bridesmaids dresses online.  I ended up going to Volle's in Lake Zurich.  So far they've been okay.

Ugh. This place is like 5 minutes from my house! I haven't started dress shopping yet and I was hoping to go check them out. I wish I had gone for their clearance sale!

I ordered my dress from the Bride's Room in July and received a phone call from a liquidation company on 11/9 saying that the Bride's Room had gone out of business. My deposit of 50% of the dress is gone and I am working to dispute the charges at this time. I had to replace the order with the manufacturer through another bridal store. Frustrating experience!
