I finally took the advice of all of you ladies and my engaged roommate and went to Louise She'll be reconstructing the top of my dress, making it fit better and sewing in the bustle. I'm finally excited about my dress! Now I have to pick which bustle to use... I like them all and am still being a bit indecisive about it. She's bustling the heavier satin layer separately, so the picture titles just refer to the lace overlay. TIA!

I personally like the french understyle. But thats just how I want mine bustled.

Ditto one point.. It shows off the dress way more.

Finished BC and not preventing since June 2010.
Actively trying for baby #1 since July 2011.
SA completed 5/29/2012. No sperm found.
11/12: Dx: Congenital Bilateral Absense of the Vas Deferens.
Genetic Testing needed as this is a mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
IVF #1 with ICSI planned for 2013.
PAIF/SAIF welcome!

I voted for the 3-point because 1-point bustles make me nervous, haha.

French under-bustles are really popular right now, but I don't think it's as beautiful an option for your style of dress (which I love, btw!).

I vote 1 or 3 point, thats how I'm doing mine and I like it because it shows off the detail work on your dress which is gorgeous btw

I voted for the 3-point overbustle, but I also like the 1-point overbustle. They're such a clean, straightforward look. But as a PP said, 1-point bustles make me nervous.

I LOVE the French underbustle - to me it looks so much more intentional or formal than the more traditional bustles.

Thanks, ladies! I'm definitely torn between the french bustle and the 3-point! I do really like the look of the one-point, but am also paranoid about it falling out. Thankfully, she said I could wait till the last minute to make a decision on the bustle

I love the 3-point! I think that it is a better fit for the dress, and really showcases the detailing better than the french bustle.
