February's Planning Goals

What are they?

For two of us, it's GETTING MARRIED! :-) (on 2/27 - ChrisandJenna8 & Queen of Quriky).

For the rest of us, though, where are you in your wedding planning?

This month, I would like to:

*Get on a routine sleep/wake & gym/school/work schedule
*Decide on the music for the ceremony, "traditions" at the reception, and start collecting pics for our slideshows
*Decide on invitations and start working on them (if I decide to DIY)
*Decide on the layout of our reception (where should we put the head table? DJ? Cake table? Photobooth? AHH! :-) )
*Build my planning bio and organize all the inspiration pics I've accumulated! lol

This month I want to:

-Schedule/have a meeting with our officiant
-Schedule a meeting with some bakeries for the cake (one of which I know will have to wait until March)
-Get STDs addressed and out (hopefully in two weeks...ordered them last night and it could take up to 14 days to arrive but I'm hoping it's sooner!)
-Pick up my dress (this week!!!) and start thinking about accesories/veil

This month I would like to...

*Find my accessories-shoes, jewelry, hairstyle.
*Have our tasting at our reception venue.
*Finish the pomanders we are using as aisle markers.
*Order invitations and have them addressed.
*Get the bm jewelry taken care of.
*Also get on a good schedule where I'm not exhausted from school/work/gym/job hunting/wedding planning.
*Finalize the menu for RD.

Wow, that's a lot more than I thought!

This month I would like to
-Get back to the gym on a regular basis.
-Work on my veil.
-Begin creating centerpiece mock-ups

This month FI and I are:

*Putting in our cake order
*Finishing ordering supplies for our DIY invites
*Having a paper party to assemble invites, placecards, etc.
*Get tuxes ordered
*Get photos printed for our screen [frame room divider will be behind us in the ceremony]

pick tuxes (we're going tonight to do this)
finish registering
book hair/makeup
book limo
decide on jewelry
figure out centerpieces
plan honeymoon
start thinking about if we want favors/what to do for them if we do

We'll see if I get all this done this month!

Wow...you girls are much farther along that I am.

I hope to:

narrow down the BM dress search,
pick my dress (I have it narrowed down to 2...I think),
taste test the reception food,
start talking with ministers for the ceremony,
get engagement pictures taken,
order STDs AND
as soon as I get the package in the mail, start working on DIY stationary.

And totally unrelated to the wedding:
start looking into my professional semester.

Pick tuxes (done last Monday!), get the word out to GMs to get measured!
Address invites (they shipped last week!)
Work on Ceremony Order/Logistics
Finalize RD details (waiting for FMIL to get back to me.....grrr...)
Generate playlist for dinner/dancing for DJ
Decide on favors!

Pick Caterer
Finalize Cake selection (i.e. flavors)
Pick Photographer
Pick BM dresses (going shopping next weekend)
Address and mail STD (already have them)
Start looking for shoes, viel, hairpiece/handband

WOW! I had no idea I wanted to do that much in a short month.  It looks like so much when you write it out.

I'm gonna hop on this...even though the month is almost over.  I'm getting married in kc in october and haven't been there since i got engaged BUT am flying in this weekend so it will be busy:

What i want to do:

Try on dress w/my mom (kinda picked one i like but need to do it with her)

pick photographer

meet(pick?) dj

see my wedding site

get addresses from my mom

Things i did this month:

put together guest list

bought invitations (make your own at jo ann's using 50% off coupons!)

Try on dress

Register

looked for bm dresses

booked a site (w/o ever seeing it...eeek!)
