Where are you having your honeymoon?

What made you choose HM location?

Did you use a TA or book it yourself? Any recommendations?


We're going to Whitehouse, Jamaica and we will be leaving the Monday after. We thought about traveling Europe and seeing old friends (from when we studied abroad) but then decided we really just wanted to lie on a beach all day and throw in a few excursions instead of rushing from place to place. We used Kim Cook with Love to Travel and had a great experience and well as got an awesome deal!

Our honeymoon was a surprise to me until just recently!  We are going to St. Lucia- Regency.  We both knew we wanted to be on a beach and relax rather than sightsee and try to do a hundred things.  We will leave Monday after the wedding.  FI works with a woman who is a TA on the side, and she has been really helpful!  I cannot wait!!!

Our honeymoon is going to be in Maui, and we'll leave Monday after our Saturday wedding.

We picked it because FI was in charge of the HM and that's where he wanted to go (I've never been but he's been there twice).

We used apple vacations online.  They were running a special when we booked in February.

I can't wait!

We are also going to Whitehouse in Jamaica, and also used Kim at Love to Travel!  We're going about 6 weeks after our wedding, partly so that we'd miss most of hurrican season, and partly because I needed to accrue a little more vacation time at work.

We are looking into Montego Bay Jamaica and staying at the Secrets resort. We looked into Whitehouse, but it seems like you can get more for the money at Secrets with upgraded rooms and special extras like massages and a private dinner on the beach

We're going to Sandals Dunn's River Villagio in Ocho Rios, Jamaica!  We booked it ourselves through the Sandals website.  We leave very early in the morning the Monday after our wedding (3 months and counting!!).  We have also booked a zip line tour, couples massage, and candlelight dinner for two...and a catamaran cruise was included in our package.  We are so excited!!!

I'm so jealous of everyones' awesome honeymoons!!!

We're taking a mini-moon after the wedding to Hermann, MO. Should be pretty fun because it will be Oktoberfest. And I'm excited about relaxing!! We won't be leaving until the Friday after our Sunday wedding (no vacation time at work yet! boo!).

Once we get some more vaca times and save a little bit after the wedding, we'll take our "actual" honeymoon (probably more like a one year anniversary trip). We haven't decided where we want to go. Initially it was an AI in Mexico, but now we're debating a Mediteranian cruise or a train trip through Canada. We'll probably book ourselves like we always do.

Where are you having your honeymoon?
We are going to Aruba!! and staying at the Divi Golf and Beach resort.  We've never been but have heard great things about Aruba.  We also thought about Europe but wanted to go somewhere new.

What made you choose HM location?
Lots of friends recommended it and it isn't affected by hurricane's (since we are going on our honeymoon during hurrican season) and we have never been there.

Did you use a TA or book it yourself? Any recommendations?
Booked it all ourselves and it was really easy.

We're thinking of going on a Carnival Cruise to Jamaca, Keys, and Virgin Islands. I love love the beach and water and it's very affordable. We would have just gone to a beach, but FI is a ginger kid and would fry up in a second, so it's better that there are millions of other things to do on a boat.

We're going on safari in Tanzania and then spending a few days at the beach on Zanzibar. We decided on this trip because it is basically FI's dream trip -- he loves watching nature shows about lions and stuff. I'm pretty excited about it, too. We are leaving on the Monday after the wedding. We booked through a company called Mango Safari and they are amazing. They offer good flexibiility for different budgets and they are a small but knowledgable operation, so they have great customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip to Africa (they were recommended to me by a trusted co-worker as well).

Where are you having your honeymoon? We're going on a Royal Caribbean Southern Carribean cruise leaving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and going to Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, and U.S.V.I. I'm really excited about it!

Are you leaving right after the reception? We're leaving two weeks after the wedding. The cruise we wanted left either the day after, which we thought would be difficult, or 2 weeks later. It'll be nice, actually, because we'll have time to relax and unpack wedding presents before the hm.

What made you choose HM location? We both wanted to go to a beach and somewhere in the Caribbean. We'd never been on a cruise before. I thought a cruise would be a good idea since it would go to several places and we'd both never been anywhere in that area.

Did you use a TA or book it yourself? Any recommendations? I booked it myself through Royal Caribbean's website.

Where are you having your honeymoon? We are going to Sandals Grande Antigua!

Are you leaving right after the reception? Our flight leaves at 7:30 the next morning, so pretty much right after! We won't be getting much sleep that night

What made you choose HM location? We really wanted to go to Tahiti or Bora Bora but that was definitely out of our budget, and we decided we didn't want to take our dream vacation so early on, or else no other vacation would compare! So this turned out to be fairly affordable and looks very relaxing, but with plenty to do!

Did you use a TA or book it yourself? We booked ourselves through the Sandals website, but waited until one of their "sales" which happen all the time... then you have until about a month before the honeymoon to pay the full balance and only a small deposit is due up front. Makes it very easy!
