Wondering if there are any soon-to-be bride's from my area....If so...what vendors are you using for your reception?...how about a DJ?

Hi there! Congrats on your engagement! I am no longer a bride I got all married and stuff! You will find this board to be a wonderful resource as you plan your wedding. If you check out the top of the page, there are a bunch of sticky posts with vendors that old and new knotties have used. DJ's for the most part will travel to Brighton at no charge, so its just a matter of finding one you like. We used Sunshine Entertainment. Paul Taylor is the owner and did a fantastic job. I know Crystal gardens just opened a hall up in Howel. Just between howell and brighton. My mom lives in Howell, the outside of it looks nice.

Hey Becky...We decided on July 30, 2011....We have our church, but everything else is still up in the air...I'm going to a bridal show tomorrow (Sunday 2-6) in Howell,...hope to get some ideas:D

Hi! I'm a bride from Novi, but grew up in and still work in Milford. We are getting married in Ann Arbor and our reception is at Barnstormers in Whitmore Lake. There is a reception hall attached to a hotel by the Cracker Barrell in Brighton, I think it's called Genoa Woods. Happy Planning and Welcome to the board!

Genoa Woods went out of business. I got married at Cleary University in Howell and the catering/coordination was provided by Pure & Simple Events. Check out my bio for vendors and other info. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey Sharon,

Did you go to the bridal show they had at Crystal Gardens yesterday?..It was my first one, and it was pretty cool. A lot more vendors than I expected, and running some good deals...

I seen ur date is 9-24,..and what a coincidence because my finace just learned that he has to go out of town for work for two months...ugg!!..so since we didn't secure a reception hall yet we just moved our date from 7-30 to 9-24...lol...hope we get a sunny day:D

I did go on Sunday, it was my second time ( I went to the one in October as well). I had a good time. I have most everything booked, but I needed to do the food tasting and I ended up winning a couple of things.

We're date twins, Yea! Have you made any decisions yet on halls, cermony locations, etc...yet?

Our ceremony is at St. Andrews Episcopol Church in Ann Arbor,..it is kind of a central location for everyone. Some family memebrs will be coming from the down-river area.

We looked at a couple reception locations and are thinking of either Laurel Manor in Livonia or Fellows Creek Golf Course in Canton...I like the inside of Laurel Manor better but really like being able to take pics outside at the Golf Course...

I know we need to make a decision, quick....but it's tough with my FI having to go out of town till April:(...geez...this could become complicated....but i really don't want to have to move the date out any further...
