I'm SO upset right now. I just got a call from the bridal shop and apparently the manufacture is having trouble and closed the warehouse where my dress was being made so now I have no dress. I was too upset to really talk with them but I guess they have some other designer that can get it in time and I need to pick a new one. This is just crazy. I had a hard enough time finding the first one.

So the manufacturer as a whole is shutting down??? You can't get that dress from anywhere?

Have you tried looking for it used?? I know how you feel, I only liked one dress of the 100+ I tried on and I can't imagine if I had to do all that again. I would recommend looking on http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ (or similar sites) to see if you can still get THE dress, and maybe even save a bit.

If you do end up ordering a new one altogether, see if the shop will pay for the rush shipping charges since this isn't your fault. I mean, it's not their fault either, but maybe they'll be willing to help you out.

I guess one of their warehouse closed and that was where my dress was being made. With my height and size a preowned really isn't an option. I looked nothing . It sucks cause it was a really good price. When I calm down a bit I'll call them and see what we can do. I had a second choice but it was much more expensive.

What is your size? Maybe someone on here will have a dress that will fit you, that they want to sell after their wedding.

OR...show us pics of your dress and maybe we can help you out with some that are similar? Or I would even recommend doing that at the attire board -- those girls are amazing.

No offense. I'm 6'1" and with shoes and a crinny I'm probably need a dress made for some one at least 6"4-6"5 so I'm doubting anyone here is that tall and I'm plus size, so if there are any really tall plus size ladies out there let me know

My main concern it getting something in time. I'm 5 1/2 months and I've been told most designers need 4-6 months and I really don't have the extra money to rush right now. I did everything right on my part and now because the designer screwed up I'm having to pay for it.

When you talk with the shop I would stress your concern about the timeline. While it isn't their fault directly - they are the sellers of this product, they have a responsibilty to ensure that you get a dress in time for your wedding, even if it means they have to pay the rush fee.
