I just posted a desperate post asking for advice, without introducing myself to you girls!

My name is Chelsea and my Fiance's name is Paul. We've been together 3 years and are getting married December 2012.  I don't know why I was freaking out about the wedding - it's like 644 days away and I have plenty of time!

I only know one other girl who's getting married, and she's getting married on a cruise with only 15 friends and family - so I want to talk WEDDINGS!!

How did you meet? Craig and I met through mutual friends.
When is your wedding? Friday, October 21, 2011
Do you have a theme? No we don't. It's going to be a fall wedding.
What are you the most excited about? The actual wedding day! If you ask us both what we are looking forward together our answer would be having share our special day of our lives together with the ones who love us, respect us, happy for us, and care about us.
And anything else you want to talk about!
A little bit about myself is that I'm a direct care worker, Craig is a high school math teacher. We are the proud parents of one furbaby named Molly May which is a beagle and we adopted her when she was just six months old from the Michigan Humane Society. I love to read a good book, scrapbook, photography, spending time with my family, spending time with my fiance, we are in the process of moving into our new house together in the next 30 days.

Ashley - that's so exciting you're moving into a new house! I had the biggest crush on my high school math teacher, so I think it's great you're marrying one. Are you going with traditional fall wedding colors or including Molly May (adorable name!) in the ceremony?

Pickles - I hope that's a nickname   are you getting married right in Detroit? My FI's brother (FBIL?) got married in May last year up in Lexington, MI and May is really beautiful wedding weather!!

jhawthorne - I love that you're high school sweethearts - adorable! Are you having a big wedding? I can't wait to see Paul's face when I'm walking down the aisle either! I swear, I'll at least get one tear out of him!

As for me...
Paul and I met at Toys R Us! We're going for a Christmas-y (not red and green) theme. I want more of the feeling you have on Christmas, when you have all of your family around and everybody's happy. That's my fav. We just picked our reception venue today, actually! The Palazzo Grande in Shelby twp - it's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to get in there and have our day!

How did you meet?  It's kinda a long story, but my fiance Paul () and I met at his sister's high school graduation party.  Long story short, his family moved back to Philadelphia the next day (Paul alway lived in Philly) and 4 years later he messaged me out of the blue through...ahem...myspace.  Messages lead to emails, emails to visits, visits to engagment!

Do you have a theme?  I like to say it's "1940s inspired."

What are you the most excited about?  Hmmm...I don't think I can nail that down to any one thing!  My uncle/Goddfather is marrying else which I think is really special.

My fiance and I met in middle school. I was in 6th grade, he was in 7th.  We became best friends, then started dating in high school...it's weird, but I have known him half my life!

When is your wedding?
May 26, 2012!!!!! Can't wait!

Do you have a theme?
No theme...I am playing more with my colors....Ivory and Champagne with a wink of Purple;-)

What are you the most excited about?
Our life together as husband and wife...and putting on that big white dress.

I am currently studying for my entrance exam to business school and use the knot as my distraction...I shouldn't be on here either!

Do you have a theme? NOt really going with a theme, it will be a formal evening reception with a black and red color scheme with silver accents.
What are you the most excited about? When it comes down to it, I am obviously most excited about marrying my best friend and really starting our lives together.  When it comes to planning, I am most excited abiout spending time with a lot of important women in our lives, especially FIs mom and sister

First off, welcome to the board!  Congrats on the engagement!  It seems you already have a clear mind of what you want although it's not to the end of next year.  It's great because you can focus on details for almost 2 years. :P  

How did you meet? We met through work, downriver.  He transferred to Troy and when he came back, we decided we were in love, lol.  Here is a cliffnotes version: we got engaged in April '09, planned our wedding for 05/14/10, found out we were pregnant in July, ran off to Ohio and got married 07/14/09, had a beautiful baby boy 02/14/10, decided to renew our vows and get married in Church.  It was set for 07/14/10, but we changed it to a Friday to save money.  
When is your wedding? July 13, 2012
Do you have a theme? Don't have an actual theme, but we have colors picked: teal, chartreuse, and yellow.  
What are you the most excited about? My dress, the venue, the DIY stuff, being able to actually have our friends and family there, and last but not least, being able to marry the man of my dreams in the eyes of God.

We met randomly at Arts, Beats, and Eats one year.  He was up in a window & I was on the street with my friend.  It's so funny to think about now!

Sort of - it's kind of "garden" like maybe.

Everything honestly.  I cannot wait for it to get here!  (But I can of course, since I still have lots to get done still lol)

How did you meet? On e-harmony. It was so cool!

When is your wedding? 8/27/11, which is 3 years and 364 days before the 4th anniversary of our first date (which will  happen at midnight on our wedding day!)

Do you have a theme? I didn't think I did, but as it turns out the black & white/cream toile I have as a recurring pattern is fairly vintage

What are you the most excited about? Before the wedding, finishing my dress, LOL. It's been laid out and cut in my mind dozens of times, now have to get on to making it.

On our wedding day: Our first look in the gardens of our venue (if it doesn't rain) and then seeing our reception room pulled together by my DOC and caterer with all the DIY stuff I have.

How did you meet? At work. We are both CPAs and for a month we spent upwards of 14 hours a day in a small room together working on a job. I had the biggest crush on him the whole time but thought he didn't like me. Our manager bet him to ask me out and 3 years later here we are When is your wedding? 9/24/2011 Do you have a theme? Not really. However, my motto for the wedding is "drama free" and so far that has held true. What are you the most excited about? To start our married life. And anything else you want to talk about! How did you meet?  Through Match.com. I was just about to disable my account when I decided to respond to this one last guy who had sent me a message like a few weeks before. We ended up talking all night and I learned that he lived only a few blocks from my house! We went out the next day and the rest is history.
When is your wedding?  Sunday, May 27, 2012 (Memorial Day weekend)
Do you have a theme?  Not really but I guess you could say it's a Fairy Tale theme.
What are you the most excited about?  Losing a massive amount of weight and watching my in-laws jaws hit the floor because I'm going to be stunning in my dress. But really I just want to see the look on FI's face when I'm all done up.
