How do DW's work?

We've been thinking about having a Destination wedding for quite some time, but what we are wondering is do we pay for EVERYONE to come? We just don't know how that works.

    No.  You are not responsible for anyone's travel expenses regardless of whether it is a DW or not.  Just know that many people might decline coming because of the added travel expenses.

    You're not in charge of their travel expenses, but like Liz said.. many won't come. If I had some cash, I'd help the people I want most to come out there (i.e. parents and siblings)

    From my understanding with DW's, you do not pay for travel expenses but it's common to pay for the wedding dinner obviously and/or one other meal (rehersal, day after, etc)... is what i have seen a lot. You may want to look on the DW board. they may give better insight.
