Cruise versus "All Inclusive Resort"

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had any adivce for our honeymoon. We are thinking we want to so something where we can relax, but also meet other couples ad get out drink on. We want to spend like maybe 2,000k-2500k max.

Has anyone had any experience with each as a honeymoon experience and would like to give their two cents?

Thanks

Although crusies are fun I find a lot of downfalls with them. A cruise isn't all-inclusive so you'll be paying for your drinks. You are also on the move most days... new port each morning. The rooms are super tiny and even though there's a huge boat to explore, if the pool areas are packed and your room is small, it's not very enjoyable.

We did an AI for our honeymoon and loved it. We sat on the beach for 7 days, relaxed and did excursions at our own pace, not the pace of the ship. It was just what we were looking for.

I agree, cruises are fun but you do pay for drinks and overpriced excursions. The rooms get stuffy towards the end of the cruise too. A nice hotel at an All inclusive resort might be best. Someplace like Bermuda or Bahamas.

We took a cruise to Bermuda for our honeymoon. DH and I love cruising and we had a great time on Holland America. We spent most of our sea days exploring the ship and we didn't really spend a lot of time in our room. If you do a cruise, definitely upgrade to a room with a balcony. We got room service breakfast a lot in our room and had them bring it out to the balcony. :)
