Can anyone recommend a wedding photographer that’s “up and coming”.  I am looking for someone who is looking to break out in the photography word who is talented but lacking the experience.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

You can post an "ad" free of charge on New England School of Photography. I posted on there and within minutes, I had a flood of responses. They vary between students, "up and coming," and long-time professionals all with very varied price ranges. Hope this helps!

I would check out Shawn Black.  He's only started his buisness a couple years ago and is amazing.  www.shawnblackphoto.com He did our wedding.  I found his prices reasonable for the quality of work that he does.

Nathan & David Hann are who we are using.  Our e- pics are next month, so don't have personal photos to say good or not.  But so far very easy to work with and set everything up.

8 hour package for 2 shooters was $1500.  Comes with all images and a photobook.

We used Arlene Marston (www.arlenedmarston.com) for our engagement pictures and absolutely loved working with her. She is really laid back and has a knack for getting very natural, candid looking pictures. We used one of our engagement pictures for our save the dates and got tons of comments on how happy we looked which is kind of amazing because neither of us photograph well or enjoy having our picture taken!

I was looking for the same thing and used Darry Madden, I really liked her work. She has a very small website with some samples, if you scroll through it she has two weddings on there. I don't have pictures back from her yet, just one, which I do love! She has done newspaper photography and is a writer also, I really loved her style and it was what i was looking for, depends what you want of course. Also, since she isn't a full time wedding photographer and is kind of starting out her prices weren't ridiculous. I also posted on the nesop site but liked her better than some of the cheesy things I had seen in response to my post. Good luck!
