Creative Bridesmaids' Gifts

I have seven bridesmaids -- all very different women, and I want to get something that each one would appreciate. I know the common wisdom on here is to shop for them like it's their birthday, but I was hoping for a few creative ideas to get me started. I'd rather not do jewelry, partly because some of them aren't really jewelry girls, and partly because everyone's tastes are just SO different. Half of them are OOT, as well, and so whatever I buy those women will need to be easily packed in a suitcase.  For example, one of my BMs is a movie fanatic who owns more movies than she could ever watch, so I thought about making her a "movie night" basket -- comfy PJs, popcorn, a bottle of her favorite wine. What do you think? I just hate the idea of giving them all the same thing -- they're all so different in taste and personality. Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you

I can relate.  I have quite a few bridesmaids as well and was going to do a unique basket for each.  I even had one picked for the "movie night" basket.  It's a great idea, just pick a price limit and stick with it.  Some of the girls were hard to come up with a unique idea and enough items to fill the basket.  I like it, if you need more basket ideas I've got tons of them!

I've had such a hard time finding just the right gifts. I've decided to do the same and put together a tote bag designed for each girl's personality. For instance, one is a huge football fan, another is a hair stylist, another love wine and tea, etc.

I think that's a great idea for your BMs. I've used Longaberger baskets as gifts in the past for friends and filled them with unique trinkets - plus you don't have to wrap them!

I think that's a great idea.  I've done something similiar before and got my baskets at Cost Plus/World Market.  They have a whole basket section.

I like the basket idea. I have six bridesmaids who are all totally different too. Whenever we go out or to the mall, instead of carrying our purses- we carry clutches or something similar to that. So I got all of them a different Coach wristlet (fits money, camera, cell phone etc.) and the colors/designs each go with that person, at least how I see them! I'm writing them a "letter" too that I'll just slip in them.

Well our Wp we did tickets. Opera, sports, theater, movie, ect all were about $60 and some were better tickets then others as a result but all same concept. How about since you have a movie buff friend with a movie night basket idea ( although how about instead of a basket a big popcorn bowl) how about for each doing a "very your style evening basket" That could be a wii game and chinease foodcertficate for one friend and a spa stuff for another movie things for the movie friend and a bunch of books and a snuggly blanket for another

This is an awesome idea! I've been a bridesmaid several times and I don't beleive that I currently use any of the gifts that I've received. These baskets would definitely get used! Thanks for sharing.

I think that the PJ/Movies/etc basket is an awesome idea if that is what she is into.  I think that I may do something like that for my MOH, but not sure what I am putting in it yet. I think thats a great idea.

your idea sounds good... i decided on purses for my (female) bridesmaids, and theyre not the same because i picked them to match what i thought they would like... one giorl has a little black guess purse, the other is a big shiny purple fiori bag... etc.
