Holy crap!  I'm not a fan of Obama's, but that's just taking it WAY too far.I don't think god approves of praying for harm/death to befall another human being.  At least the church I attended when I was younger taught that was wrong.

This is how organized religion gets such a bad name.Please don't tar all organized religions with that same brush. We pray weekly in our church for our leaders to "be moved to make wise decisions." Whether there is a Republican or a Democrat in the White House and Governor's Mansion, we pray for wise decisions.

sara, I'm just saying this is why people have the opinions they do about religion.  I am actually baptist and it shames me to admit that after reading this article.  I do not want to be judged for having similar religions affiliations with this man.

It's the extremists and hypocrites in any group that get the most attention, because they're the most interesting and entertaining.  Moderates and people who actually believe what they claim to get ignored.  It's really sad.

I actually know someone like this. Well, actually two people. I was forced to sit through classes with them and listen to them discuss how they hoped every morning during the election that they would wake up to find out that Obama was assassinated. Oh, and they're two of the most vocal people I've ever met about how "religious" they are...Ick.

I don't really care for Obama but that's disgusting.  Doesn't he know that he has an influential position in his community and that some nut job who respects him might actually go out and make this happen?
