I'm mad.

I'm mad at the combination of the Knot and Internet Explorer 8. When I had IE 7 (or whatever it was), I didn't have to use the stupid HTML codes to do things like italicize and post pictures. But mostly I just think the Knot sucks in this regard. So yeah. Anything making you mad today?

Re: I'm mad.

  • My boss. I posted a rant about him yesterday, but he went off the deep end today. He had appointments scheduled all day today with students, starting at noon--that have been on his calendar for weeks. Ten minutes before appt. #1, he sends an email and asks me to cancel it. 1) because he can't do it himself, and 2) because it makes me look like an incompetent boob, and not him. gah, i'm in such a pisssy mood.

  • Do you have a small box next to the address bar that looks like a piece of paper torn in half? If you click that, it should switch to "Compatibility view" and make TK work better for you.Or you can just switch to Firefox.I'm PMs-ing so everything is making me mad today.

  • I'm mad that I took my car to the shop last Wednesday and still don't have it back and they've most certainly cashed my check, but keep ordering the wrong part. Fuuckers. I took it to this shop because it's around the corner from my parents' house and my dad knows the guy, but I will not be giving him any more business in the future. I should have just taken it to Discount Tire like I wanted to in the first place. My dad told me this guy would be cheaper. Yeah, and slow as hell.
  • I went looking for you on fb and I couldn't find you.  I'm not mad, just curious.

  • I went looking for you on fb and I couldn't find you. I'm not mad, just curious. I will post something on your wall now.
  • Valley, I'll see your PMS and raise you a rainy day, forgotten lunch and more work than I can get done. And I forgot to check my basement pump this morning, so I'm sure I'm not lucky enough for it to be turned on so that when I get home there will be 2" of water in my basement from all the rain. I'm mad.
  • Sorta mad at FI's family, even though I shouldn't be.  It sounds like if he wants anything from his grandma and grandpa before their estate gets liquidated, he has to get it now, or yesterday.  It sounds like it's going to turn into a greedy free-for-all, which is upsetting and stupid, and not what grandma wanted at all.  And FI is worried he's going to lose touch with this side of his family, because now that grandma and grandpa are gone, he has no real connection to the rest of the family (his parents divorced and his father died) besides aunts/uncles and a few cousins, but they have their own families now.The whole thing sucks, we want grandma back.
  • OK, you should have a post on FB, cacoffer.
  • cool beans.
  • I'm mad that very few of our invited guests are actually sending their response cards back. I'm also mad at Jillian Michaels, for being able to laugh while doing level 2 of her 30 day shred. Mad (and jealous).
  • I had to do two interviews for our nursing department because our administrator had an emergency come up. No problem. Not sure why the Director of Nursing couldn't interview for her own effing job opening though. So, now I'm behind on offering positions that I wanted to today. And, in a fun twist, I'm not PMSing, and I'm like a week late. Yay for stress.

  • coco - that cleared up a lot!  I was wondering who that was! :)
  • Not only did one of my advertisers lower their media buy this month (oh, but for the same length of time, of course, just $25 less), they're also now repeatedly claiming that they sent payment on Sept 10th through PayPal.1. PayPal tracks everything and no you effing didn't2. Your ad has been running essentially for free for 2 weeks and I am poor enough that I am about to pitch an internet shiit fit over $125.3. Goddaaamn you people.

  • I got to work at 7:45 AM, and I have to come BACK here for a meeting at 7 PM.  I won't get home until probably after 9.  Because I work half an hour away from my apartment, it's ridiculous for me to go home in the interim, so I'm going to my parents' house.  Hopefully my mom and I won't argue, we've been touch-and-go for the last...five years?

  • I mad that my son may have to go to another school because of where we fall on the district line.  It sucks and I'm mad and sad.  But mostly sad.
  • I'm mad that ruh-tards at my work don't understand that I can't grant them security access that normally takes 8 to 11 business days within 1 day.  It's not my fault that you guys decided to wait to work on this project until the last f*cking minute.  Don't freak out on me because I can't preform the security equivalent of walking on water turned into wine.

  • TJ, i used to work in advertising, youre bringing up horrifying memories... im still annoyed that firefox wont let me post on the knot. its been at least a month.
  • I'm mad at the rain. It made the traffic terrible this morning, my feet wet and my office cold.
  • Also mad because I sat in a meeting this morning and, ONCE AGAIN, had to explain that nothing will be coming out of my office 10.26-11.7. I will not be here, I will not be checking emails or voicemails, I am getting married. I haven't taken a week-long vacation, EVER. I'm taking two weeks of the four I have left this year, and I'm not working, not even remotely. I've told you this for over a year. Don't act all surprised and worried now. I have no sympathy, and will not.
  • I'm mad at the rain. I thought that it had been made perfectly clear that blaming it on the rain is not acceptable.  Yeah yeaaaaaaaah.Or the stars, for that matter.

  • You're so right. I should really stay away from any advice ever dispensed by Milli Vanilli
  • And I forgot to check my basement pump this morning, so I'm sure I'm not lucky enough for it to be turned on so that when I get home there will be 2" of water in my basement from all the rain.Bec, can you explain this to me? I don't understand but I am curious. That seems to be my theme today: curious.I'm mad because drivers here suck and piss me off. I actually got cut off on a residential street by my own coworker yesterday. Assshat.

  • I have an old house, and water seeps into a small section of the basement when it rains. I have a little pump that will kick on if any water collects at the lowest point, but it also runs too much if my dehimidifier deposits a lot of water into it. I turn it off if it's really dry because there's no need for it, but I forgot to check it this morning, and it's pouring rain. So that section will have standing water in it when I get home, more than likely.
  • Ah! That makes sense. I was picturing a pump that you had to turn on manually every time it rained just because that's how it was designed and I was thinking how inefficient and a PITA that must be for you. Heh.
