Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

Children's Procession

We are having 2 ceremonies, Friday formal and Saturday outdoor casual ceremony w/ BBQ reception.  As we have MANY nieces/nephews/small children attending,  we will have a children's procession instead of typical flower girl/ ring bearer.  Any child who wishes to participate is welcome.  Once they are down the aisle the children will be escorted to a play area around back by 'camp counselors'  who have volunteered.  I am looking for suggestions for what the children can carry that will be colorful and not expensive or cumbersome.  Flowers could be expensive, balloons could be disasterous if a small child accidentally lets go.  Any suggestions?   Or ideas where I could buy inexpensive small colorful flags to wave or colored paper laterns?  Any input would be appreciated.  Thanks.  Claire

Re: Children's Procession

  • What about bubbles? They would probably love it.
  • Can I ask why you're having two ceremonies?
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
