I'm Addicted

To wedding magazines.  I have over 30 and have spent about $200 on them.  I try not to, but if there is even one page that I may find inspiring I have to buy it.  I just went to the drug store at lunch and there on the shelf was the new Knot- I don't even wait to read it, I flip pages while driving - I am going to get in an accident - Am I Alone in this??

I have to say, you're out of control girl! $200!!!! I treated myself to 3 over the past couple months.  I went to the library and took out others though.  They're just so darn expensive!

a coworker got me a subscription to 3 of them (it was like $25) for the whole year. I got to say after 6 months I was SICK of them!

I know - i am bored with them, but I still can't stop looking or buying - it is sad!  I have been engaged for 13 months.  I won't spend $$ on expensive accessories, but I could have it it wasn't for this- First step is admitting you have a problem :)

I signed up for a free annual membership of "BRIDAL GUIDE" on www.heyitsfree.net -- otherwise I don't spend the money on them.

I was the same way! I had so many magazines at one point we were literally tripping over them. FI got so annoyed one day he threw all of them out! I was so pissed at first but I totally needed that. It was like an intervention and it ended my crazy habit.Sometimes though if we're going to the beach I'll find myself buying unnecessary quantities of bridal magazines, but for the most part the urge is gone.

I first bought them while in NC just after he first asked me.  Then I started buying them at home at BJs because they are like 10 or 20% off retail price there.

I had two subscriptions and those quickly added up. I was relieved to finally give them to a coworker. In the beginning I was super into them, but once most of my planning was done I lost interest. I wouldn't want to take them out of the library because I like to rip the pictures out!

I subscribe to a couple.  My favorite is Martha Stewart Weddings.  Its super expensive too.  I would say I have probably 20 mags at least.  My mom always is buying them for me as well.  I dont even want to add the cost up.  She also bought me some books.  My favorite mag/book is Real Simple Weddings.  It has great ideas and checklists.

True, I rip pages, too. But if the girl needs her fix, it's a cheap way to get it!! =p

Borrowing bridal magazines from the library is like using a nicotine patch to get your cigarette fix!

i love bridal magazines!  esp martha stewart weddings, that was my fave but i also loved the knot and brides.  i had a subscription to brides that i got through macy's registry. after the wedding i got rid of a bunch of them - esp the location specific ones but i still have some i still look through.  i feel your pain!

When I first got engaged I traveled for work quite a bit so I used to expense the magazines I bought at the airport.  Since I quit my job last August I don't think I've bought a single bridal mag.  It was exciting to look through at first for dress ideas, colors, etc but once I decided things I wasn't interested anymore.
