Lydia's magic Touch, Matawan

So i'm trying to decide if i want to bring my dress to Lydia's or just have the seamstress from where i bought the dress take it in and all. There aren't many reviews on Lydia but i know a couple of girls on here mentioned her a while ago. Both True love bridal and Lydia are down rt 34 which are close to me. I was hoping the girls that used Lydia could tell me how their experience was with her.  Or should i stick with the seamstress from the store that starts her prices @ $250.... I'm also not really sure what she is doing for this $250 since i'll probably only need to have it taken in and maybe have cups put in. I guess i need to be reassured.

I used the seamstress from my bridal shop (Cinderella) and she took in the sides (twice), sewed in extra crinoline, added button-closures over my zipper, and made a bustle.  I think that came to around $215, but each thing she had to do was a la carte, so I don't get why that seamstress would automatically start at $250.

My friend has used Lydia on several occasions for bridesmaid dresses and she was happy with her work, although she may have said Lydia is a little pricey.  I would give her a call and ask for an approximate price based on what you need and the material of the dress.

Lydia is the seamstress that true love uses....at least she was when I got my dress In November...

I used Lydia for my sister's wedding (as a BM) and also as a bride.  Got both dresses at True Love. I was happy with her work for the most part, though for my sister's wedding they accidentally switched my and the other BM's dresses (we are about 1/2 inch apart in height and have about the same figure).  But that's an honest mistake.  I think she charged $65 for BM alts (shortening and taking in at the bust) and $150 for my weddnig dress (same specifications).

My alterations were done at TL but by Lydia, I went to Lydia's store twice, once because she had a death in the family and had to reschedule an appt but I couldn't do times the store was open, and then to pick up my dress.  I paid about 275 I believe, that included cups, bust, hem, and waist area.  I was VERY happy with the work, whether it was at TL or Lydia's store, but it was always Lydia and my checks were made out from day one to Magic Touch.

DId anyone have a bad experience at True Love Bridal?
I googled some bad reviews and wasn't sure - I love a dress there but had heard bad stuff.

I bought my dress from True Love and it was a good experience - also used Lydia through them and had a good experience with her as well

I dont know...I am currently using Lydia for a BM dress for my friends wedding on friday. She has been nothing but rude, abrupt, unorganized, and not to mention LATE!. My dress was suppose to be done last Thursday...and its now Wednesday and its still not complete. All she does is complain about how much work she has to do. She might be a good seamstress but her lack of professionalism is just horrible.
