Help! Wedding day timeline with hair & makeup

I've never been a bridesmaid and I'm very clueless about wedding day timelines. I'm having my hair and makeup done and we are doing a "reveal" and then bride/groom pics before the ceremony. Our ceremony is at Four Seasons and we're not doing a striptour, however, we'll have a limo drive us to the vegas sign for some quick pics before the ceremony. Please critique my wedding day timeline!!1:30 - hair2:30 - makeup3:00 - photographer arrives for a few getting ready shots3:30 - gown is on, ready to go do my reveal shot with groom4:00 - las vegas sign shots, all pre wedding photography6:00 - ceremony beginsAm I cutting it too close? How long does hair/makeup take in general? Is the 1:30 start time for hair/makeup about right?

It depends on what kind of hair style you are doing. I did my trial with Lori and she said my hair and makeup will take a least 2 hours, but it involves a lot of curling. Always better to be relaxed and early than rushed and late.

I think if you're getting a fairly "simple" hair style this timeline should work and be good to go.  If you're doing a lot of curling you may want to start hair at 12:30 or 1:00 to leave room.

Thanks guys! I have my hair trial tomorrow.. I'm looking for a simple-ish bun, so I'm hoping hair is an under an hour type thing.

It truely depends on how many girls are getting there hair and makeup done. You really are cutting it pretty close unless your hair is super simple. Have you thought about suggesting sunless airbrush tanning or the bridal party. There is nothing better than sun kissed skin in photos. MINX Tanning is a mobile service that comes to you and the bridal party and tans everyone 24-48 hours prior to the event. It only cost 30 dollars per tan, which is a steal. If you want more information please check out www.minxtanning.com or contact shannon @ 818.355.9389
