We're not doing a garter toss, so I figured it would just be bulky or slide off and annoy me.

My garter is made with logo fabric/lace from my FI's alma mater (Kansas State).  It's a surprise for him.

Aegrish, did you have it custom-made?  if so, where?  I wasn't going to do the basic garter, but I could think of a few custom ones that would be cute.

No I found it online...I just googled "k-state garters", saw that they actually made them, and ended up finding them at a local novelty sports store.

Yep Etsy:) I looked through a ton of them trying to find one in that style that wasn't ridiculously expensive like some of them are, the seller has a ton of other cute ones too, debating on getting the blue one for a something blue, but probably stick to this one.

Maybe by October I'll be thin enough I won't have to wear my super Spanx! (I love the one that goes up to your bra line and down to mid thigh- helps with thigh chafe- aka chub rub)

haha, yeah not sure how a garter would look with Spanx, but you could probably just hike up the spanx and get at pic of the garter and do it that way:)  I haven't even thought about what I'll wear under my dress yet!

They are!  They had several cute 'brideish' flip flops that I loved.  It was hard to choose. Normally I am not a JCrew fan...most of my clothing money goes to express.

I just bought a super cheap one with a red ribbon from Michaels. I sure as hell wore my spanx with it But I didn't take a picture so I guess it didn't matter!

For the record, I thought it was going to be super annoying and falling down or itching, but it was not at all. I forgot about it until the DJ announced it was time to throw it lol.

You are lucky, I know it is just me being self conscious, but I have NEVER dressed up or done anything sexy. His mom (I know weird) bought me a little babydoll type thing that I wore on my wedding night and he loved it, but I felt so weird!!! I know that my H would love it, but I just feel kind of stupid haha. Mostly, he just likes it when I dress up to go out, or wear tight pants, or naked. He has a very short attention span, but if I walked out in nothing but a garter, he would not see the garter. LOL tmi??

Express was totally my go to store, but now that my work moved Downtown Mpls. and I'm connected to the skyway which has a Macy's and a discount Saks store, I find myself at those places way more than I should be!!  I'd be way screwed if there was an Express there.

My sister's garter is sitting around her cake topper on a shelf.  It was a Miami Dolphins because SHE is a fan.  It never occurred to us that we should buy her DH's team.  We bought her team.  If I was to get one as a gift, it better sure as hell be the UCLA Bruins.  It's on MY leg.
