Photographers on the Cape/Martha's Vineyard

We are getting married on the Vineyard next October and are looking for a good photographer that is reasonable. Any suggestions?

We are working with Kelley DeBettencourt on the Vineyard and she is fantastic! She is prompt in returning emails (we had a few photographers never even respond to us!) and is so much fun to work with. We had our engagement shoot back in October and should be getting photos back soon. Check out her web site. We felt she was pretty reasonable. Where will your wedding be?

On the higher end, but well worth the price.  He has done a number of weddings for family members and does amazing work.  He works a lot on the Cape, I know.

Thank you for your response. We love Kelley too. Trying to figure out what works best for us because we really need 8 hours and a cd. We could do without a second photographer too. What are your thoughts? Our reception is at Farm Neck.

We are only using her for four hours, so we won't have a photographer at the reception. I am not sure if she will do the session alone. Her assistant is usually off in the distance, so he gets different angles and views. You could discuss this with her. I know alot of people suggested a photograhpher off island, but be aware of charges for travel and even hotel rooms if your reception goes into the night. We had considered off island, but went with Kelley because we loved her work and she KNOWS the island like the back of her hand (she grew up there). I would atleast talk with her and see what she can do for you. Can't hurt.

Thank you. We decided to go with Kelley too because we loved her photos! We are doing a five hour session and it actually came out to be about the same as an off island photographer but like you said she knows the Vineyard. We are excited about using her!!!! Where are you getting married?

Oh, good! She was such fun to work with for our engagement session and took us to parts of the island we hadn't been to very much. Hopefully we will have those pictures next week! I regularly check her blog! We are getting married in May at the Harbor View in Edgartown. We are so excited! We wanted to splurge a little with the photographer because photos last forever! I'll let you know when we get our pics.
