March 2012 Weddings

2 weekends left, with a long "to do" list!

So, as much of a planner as I usually am, I'm down to two weekends and still lots to do! I finished woodburning our guests' names into their placecard discs this morning (I was waiting on late RSVPs). I know, this list is ridiculously long at this late date, but, well...juggling work, 2 kids, and conference night prep last week made me push everything off to the final 2 weekends. My bms aren't able to help with this side of things and like many of you, my FI hasn't been too into the details, so it's been on me for most of it. Not that I'm complaining -- just making excuses for my procrastination! lol!

1. Programs

2. Seating Chart

3. Create gift bags for out-of-towners

4. Write letter and buy wine for letter box ceremony

5. Create manzanita branch arrangement to hang seating assignment discs

6. Centerpieces

7. Buy beer and sprite for favors

8. Meet with caterer (2/29)

9. Last 2 dress fittings (2/27 and 3/5)

10. Get marriage license (3/1)

11. Finalize music list

I honestly think that's it. Dear god, I hope that's it! lol! Who else is as bad as me in these last few weeks?

  • Cheesy, but we had can coozies custom made. :) I know it wouldn't suit some folks, but our guests will appreciate it. Some friends of ours did this about 10 years ago, and they were so cute (and funny), and we still use them. :)

  • I love the koozie idea!  I was at a wedding that had them and I still use it too. It said "  Eat, Drink and be Married" with their names and date. So adorable!
