I finally picked a harpist yesterday and am just waiting for her to send over the contract- The one vendor I was lagging on!

I finished rounding the edges on all of our inserts (which I posted about on FB) and glued all of the invites to the pocketfolds (did not use actual glue, but couldn't think of a better verb). My mom saw me working on it and offered to help out so I was having her put the inserts into the finished pocketfolds...probably 40 pocketfolds later I realized that I hadn't done that yet for a reason, I need to get & put stamps on the RSVP cards, OOPS! lol thank goodness it was only like 10-15 minutes wasted.

Feeling really good and excited about all things wedding related right now :-)

oh boyyyy oh boyy! 

1) Our table numbers!! We are doing these ikea frames with a chevron paper backing and a coral wooden number. But are also having a chevron table swuare (both backing and square will be gray and white chevron). I dont know if thats too much chevron in one spot (we are doing chevron tocuhes throughout). even though the number will cover most of it? What do you think? 

2) our escrot table.. were going to do a card display with like a paper with each tables seats.. if we do that do we need to have name crds at each seat? or do we let them chose the seat at designated table? 

3) our table numbers only fit one number.. so  would it be weird if we had table "0" then 1-9 or like table "B" for our bridal party tble?" with the numbers? or should i get a bigger frame for only tables 10 (or 11 if we have it) and put both numbers in the frme?

The guy at the tux rental told my goom to come back in june... is that normal? Does everyone already have their florist.. because I dont yet! I am also tyring to find a good place for hair and makeup. Also when is everyone getting their final fittings? I only need minor alterations but I feel like things are piling up and I will run out of time? -had to vent.. thanks!

No clue about the tux rental--my FI will be wearing black suit that he already owns. Maybe call a couple other places to see what the normal timeline is?

My alterations place said not to bring in the dress until 6 weeks beforehand. There will be 3 fittings, each two weeks apart. This is so I don't get tired of the dress and to make sure the sizing is absolutely perfect.

I kind of assumed my FI and his friends would go in May or June to look at tuxes, I feel like that is plenty of time.

I do have all of my vendors booked already - Yelp is your best friend if you're still looking ;-)

I haven't done any fittings for my dress yet, I'll probably go towards the end of May (my wedding is July 20th). I just found this on The Knot Checklist:
<strong>The Knot Note:</strong> There are usually three fittings: the first at six weeks out; the second fitting at one month out; and the final fitting at one to two weeks before the wedding day.

Im still waiting on my girls dresses to com in. I ordered in Nov!!! What gives???

My formal wear shop also suggested end of may/June for the tuxes, she said she doesn't like to get her prom kids and wedding guys jumbled together. All you ladies sound so prepared already with already having your dresses and all, I won't get mine until mid June, YIKES!!! And my BM dresses will come in end of may. But we have all of our vendors booked and our meetings with them finished. We had our meeting with the dj last week and the owner of the company actually used to be in an 80s hair band that my mom chased in her younger days!

First dress fitting for me is in less than 2 weeks! :-O
We'll be focusing on adjusting the hem, adding the bustle, changing the neckline (to sweetheart) and seeing what accessories look good. I won't worry about the actual FIT-fitting appt until late May. Then have my final fitting to make sure everything is perfect probably a week or two before our wedding...

Just ordered stamps.
To those that saw my RSVP stamp debaucle on FB, I talked to FI about it and he ended up agreeing with me that it'd look stupid to add the little 1cent stamp to it. We're both too detail-oriented for our own good.
But whatever. It's done now, so I'm over it.

We're trying to gather the final addresses -- including co-workers of FI. I keep trying to tell him that he has to get their HOME address (he can't send them to work!!) because he's not inviting everyone in his office. He doesn't get it.
But, his boss is currently separated from his wife -- except boss doesn't know that FI knows... so how do we approach this question? I told FI to just ask boss what address he'd like us to send it to (whether it's the house with the crazy wife or not...) but then what do we do about adding her name to the invite? It'd be rude to just put "and guest" since we KNOW boss is married and we know the wife... but we don't want them to feel obligated to come together (and definitely don't want just the wife to come...)

Ahh. Don't know what to do.

Finally, I ordered personalized M&Ms and just received them today.
Um. The M&Ms that were supposed to be a sparkly "platinum" are a mildly shiny purply-grey. They look so ugly. lol.
So now I have to call and complain tomorrow and I hate complaining but there's just no way I can accept them -- especially considering how much they were! Ugh.

That is a pretty long time, have you checked in with the bridal salon? I've heard of people calling and finding out that their dresses have been there for a while and they were just never notified.

Awkward situation about your FI's boss. I think you just have to have FI ask for his address like you suggested and hope he gives you the one where he is staying right now. If FI isn't supposed to know that they're separated I don't think there's any way to get around addressing it to both of them without looking rude.

And how annoying about the M&Ms, those things are pricey! I was thinking about getting the pearl-ish & gold ones for our cookie bar, but if they aren't actually sparkly as advertised then definitely not.

Yep, twice now. They first quoted me mid February. When I called she said mid March. If i call again next week and they tell me April Im going to be very, very unhappy.

I ended up calling them today to tell them about my issue. They were super nice and they're going to send me a whole new bag with adjusted colors, and I don't even have to send back the bag I already got! SCORE. (I love M&Ms. This is dangerous to have a 2lb bag all to myself. haha.)

I'll let you know how the process ends up and whether or not I'll recommend them. But I definitely appreciate their willingness to try to remedy the problem.
