I read this and immediately thought of Stace's vent on FB last week (or maybe the week before).  :P

The Lurker. The Peeping Toms of Facebook, these voyeurs are too cautious, or maybe too lazy, to update their status or write on your wall. But once in a while, you'll be talking to them and they'll mention something you posted, so you know they're on your page, hiding in the shadows. It's just a little creepy.Um, this is totally me.  I can't FB during the day and seriously only want to spend less that 10 minutes checking in at night.  So I hardly ever post anything, but use it to see what is up with everyone else.  :P

The Let-Me-Tell-You-Every-Detail-of-My-Day Bore.Ugh, this one is right up there with people whose status updates EVERY DAY of EVERY WEEK are like-"Oh no, it's Monday!"Tuesday, getting closer to the weekend!""Yeah, Hump Day!""Thursday is almost Friday!""TGIF!"I have a calendar, thank-you-very-much :)

So I'm the last one.  I play the games (farm ville, poke pet something or other), I do the quizzes.  But, I'll have you know that I don't post ALL the results on my page.  Just the good ones! ;)

I hate the "scheduler" updates in the status:"Work 8-3, tanning, then gym 6-8, then home with my baby, then maybe going out at 10, call the cell!"Too much detail and just an unsafe idea in general!

LOL! I probably have at least one friend for each of those! The mundane details one is the worst...as Stace said, that's what Twitter's for! :-)

Ugh, this one is right up there with people whose status updates EVERY DAY of EVERY WEEK are like-"Oh no, it's Monday!"Tuesday, getting closer to the weekend!""Yeah, Hump Day!""Thursday is almost Friday!""TGIF!"Um, so true.  The Nest just released new tickers - and one of them is counting down to the weekend.  Really?  Because we can't just know what day it is and when Friday is?  ;)

Yes.  FB is not twitter.  New FB rant- if your entire status update doesn't fit in the allotted space and you have to press the "more" button to read the rest, IT'S TOO LONG!

Did you see the ones that are "counting down until payday!"?Haha!  Actually, that one reminded me of Molly.  :P  (Not that you are living check to check, girl - just that you are always so happy to get paid since it only happens once a month!)

I think worse than the schedulers are the people who update it for every mundane thing within a day.  I'd rather just one post showes up on my home page than each separate thing.  I'm guilty of doing the scheduling on IM when I was in college, but it made more sense since people might need to get in touch with me. I recently got friended by 2 aunts and my teen cousin and they're constantly sending me applications lol, I just ignore the apps for the most part.

I hate when people set Twitter to also update their FB status. My grad program was computer related so I have lots of techy friends and I swear they ALL do this. Its insanely annoying b/c they updated with the dumbest things. "Heading to Eat 'n Park for some breakfast!" and then they link to a picture of Eat 'n Park. Really? Why?

Interesting and funny. I actually am probably guilty of some of these things once in a while, but I am not constantly giving TMI, mundane updates, etc. I esp. hate when people update their status like every 2 hours. I update once a day, if that.

LMAO!  I would be snarky and put a status "Using a spoon to eat my soup *link to picture of a spoon*"I agree Stace, that's my biggest gripe.  It's not Twitter (which I signed up for but hate), does anybody actually want to know what I'm doing every hour of my day lol, I don't even care that much about my own day!

I hate the let-me-tell-you-every-detail people the worst also.  Close behind is the Sympathy-baiter.  Used in moderation is fine (I do that myself, haha) but constant use is like crying wolf and I stop caring.

I AM so guilty of a lot of those, but like I said on my FB post about this, what are we supposed to post then? I need some examples of acceptable posts 'cause I'm a repeat offender. :P

Jamie - I signed up for Twitter too but I can't stand it.  I think it's the dumbest invention ever!  I think I've 'tweeted' like 4 times.Molly - I've never been annoyed by your posts either.  I know I'm definitely guilty of some of these things as well. Like the TGIF posts. :)  I'm always excited to get the h*ll out of this place for 2 days.

Oh, no!  I really want to read this because I fear I'm an annoying facebook poster, but it's not working for me for some reason.

I guess I just don't get the twit.  I think the funniest part of it is the people who are trying to impersonate celebs.  Someone posted a link on a sports forum I lurk on and there was an impostor pretending to be a teammate and talking to a real celeb, it was hilarious.

Phew. Thanks Dori and Erica. I like your posts, too. :)  And I do not like Twitter. I tried, but I can't get into it. ANd I really do hate the word Tweet. Ughs.
