I am writing this post to inform anyone in the Duchess County, NY area that is getting married and looking for a place to buy wedding invitations. I had a HORRIBLE experience when I used the company “Let’s Invite” in Hopewell. The business is run out of this woman’s home and she is VERY unprofessional.
When we first ordered our invites she seemed very sweet and accommodating. Once my invitations came in it all changed, she had a bad attitude and acted like she was doing me a favor, and seemed to forget that I was the paying customer. She contacted me to schedule a time for me to pick them up and to pay my remaining balance. Trying to schedule a time that works for this woman is near impossible. She’s not available during the week in the evenings or on the weekends. So, for people like me that work full-time there was very little availability. When I asked if I could pay with a credit card, she told me she doesn’t accept them, only check or cash. So I then told her it would be a few weeks before I could get her the money; because as we all know weddings are expensive. I had some money issues and ended up not having the money by the time we were supposed to meet so I contacted her to reschedule. (I would rather reschedule than write her a bad check, I guess honesty doesn’t matter to her). Then, I finally had the money to give her and we picked a day that worked for both of us. About two days before we were supposed to meet she e-mails me to tell me she no longer will accept a check from me. When I asked why she explains that since I canceled on her and asked her about possibly doing a payment plan (again, me being honest and wanting to make sure she gets her money) that she was “nervous” that my check would bounce. She told me if I still wanted to pay with a check I could but I would have to pay her first then wait for the check to clear, THEN I could get my invitations. I obviously, was not about to give her my money without my invitations so I gave in and gave her the cash so this whole experience could just be over.
I never in my life have experienced such poor customer service as I have with “Let’s Invite”. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!! Please, If you or someone you know is getting married and thinking about using this company, DON’T!
