I said brrr it's cold in here

So I just got home and it's chilly in my place (no surprise really)
I mostly just wanted to jump on here and say hello and vent my anger for still having NO clue what to get FI for Christmas! I walked around the mall a little bit, and I'm thinking about braving the cold to go to the outlets tomorrow to try to see if i find anything there. I'm starting to lose hope!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Have no idea what to give DH. I like when the morning shows have segments on creative and fun gifts but they do it like 3 days before Christmas. No help then.

At least it's not hot like it was yesterday! (I read your post from last evening when I was catching up this morning) GL with the shopping for FI- I hate the cold, so I could curl up under a blanket instead. Tongue out I should probably buy something more of DH...I'll have to think of what.

Maybe something edible for your FI? Does he have a fav chocolate, cookie, beer/wine, etc.? You could make him something, or buy something gourmet that he normally wouldn't splurge on. Just an idea!

Well the things I've bought him in the past are all too expensive because this year we've challenged each other to only spend $50 or less. So getting him just about any electronic thing is out of the question.
I am really trying not to get a video game, because he knows that Video games are my last ditch effort gift.

I'm thinking about clothes cause he could use a few new shirts, but that might be boring.

Kim- I am glad it's more chilly than the tropical mess it was in here yesterday!

It is FRIGID in my office! I need long johns!

I got Mike a new electric shaver (recommended by Dicer). Does Babe need a new shaver? We can all get our menfolk the same thing. :P

Congratulations on having a chilly home again!

I'm no help with a gift.  Being a boring individual, I'm getting DH a new Phillies sweatshirt, some new underwear, and socks.  Nothing too exciting there.

    What about a signed book?
    http://www.sthelensbookshop.com/chuck-palahniuk

Even if he has it, if he is really a fan of his it would be cool to have one signed.

A signed book wouldn't be a bad idea.

And I and leaning towards shoes too, he is a sucker for a pair of shoes.

Or Target always has a great selection of Screen Print Tees.

Oohhhh, Molly, that's a really good one.  E, if your FI likes Palahniuk, he would love Delillo.  "White Noise" is another good one by him.

I'm with you!  We are also on a $50 budget this year, because we want to chunk down a large amount on the honeymoon by January.  So far he's told me he wants wool socks, sock liners, and a hat.  Not very exciting, so I'm looking for ideas too....sorry I'm no help!

E, does he have anything by Kurt Vonnegut or Bret Easton Ellis?  Or Joseph Heller, or Denis Johnson?  I think all those authors share some similarities in tone and subject matter.
