Does anyone know of any places to go for dress alterations around Akron? I need to get mine done soon. I bought my dress in Mentor and it's about an hour drive from where I live. Even though they do alterations there I thought I might look into somewhere closer so it is more convenient. Thanks!

    Melanie's Needle which is located in ACME 1 on West Market Street. She rents out a room up on the balcony inside the supermarket. I haven't been to her before but I asked around and 3 different people include a design consultant and a judge referred me there. I brought my wedding dress a couple of weeks ago, she had me back for a fitting after she pinned it and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow! VERY reasonable prices, my mom is a seamstress in Boston  and was shocked at the price.

     The only down side is she is Asian and some told me I could have trouble with communication but so far so good for me!
