Tipping Angie (dress alterations)

I have a pretty good idea on if and how much to tip my vendors except for Angie who is doing the alterations on my dress. How much did you/are you planning to tip her. It's her own business so is it even necessary to tip? I'm curious as to what everyone else is doing.

Oh wow...I did not think I had to tip her at all...as far as I know I don't think you would have to tip her if she owns the business...like I have no plans on tipping vendors that work for themselves and do not split the fee with any other entity.

BUT, if you hear that ettiqute says something different, let me know

Usually it's ok not to tip people if it's their own business since they get all the money and dont have to split it. I'm not tipping my vendors who have their own business, but I just wanted to see what others did with Angie.

I didn't even think of that! I meet with her early next month. What did you decide?

It seems like tipping has gotten a little out of control, everyone expects one. I understand tipping for some services but now it's expected when people shouldn't have to be "bribbed" to do a good job! (I don't mean this about Angie but other places like Subway, gas stations, etc)
