Has anyone had or been to a wedding reception at Music Hall? 

I'm not from Cincinnati is Music Hall located in a safe area?

    Neighborhood is downtown by Washington Park and the Drop Inn Center. Located behind Music Hall is a police station. Washington Park might have construction going on currently, I'm not sure but it was the hangout for the local homeless in that area and like I said the Drop Inn Center(homeless center) is right down the street. Now, don't get me wrong I was partially raised downtown in that part and Music Hall is quite popular for weddings. Just not for me! Now, I don't know about the parking, which is some down there but not sure about where would overflow park.....kwim?

    there is a parking garage across the street on central pkwy that is attached by a bridge walkway.

    I got married there this summer.  They provided Security, and they give you the option to also hire additional security for the parking lots.  I felt very safe all night.  I also went down there a lot during our preparation, and I always felt safe.

    I am used to being in a city, though, so I wasn't worried when I went down there.

    I am getting married there this summer and that was a big concern to be before we booked. There is an $800 security fee included in the price that I feel is well worth it. My mom also spoke to several people who attended weddings there and they said they felt very safe in the parking garage with the security. I have to say I think Music Hall is a hidden gem in downtown. Compared to other plain hotel receptions, it has a historic vintage feel that is fairly inexpensive for a downtown wedding :)
