Guitarist or DJ for cocktail hour?

Hi ladies, we are having a guitarist for our ceremony at Olowalu and a DJ for the dinner and dancing part of the evening. We are still unsure whether we should have the guitarist stay after the ceremony and play during cocktail hour or have the DJ start for cocktail hour and continue for the rest of the evening into dinner and dancing. What are other knoties doing? Thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance;)

We had a DJ the whole time, so it was an easy choice for us.  IMO guests really won't notice either way as they usually spend the time eating & chatting, so go with whichever is more affordable.  If there's no price difference, then go for the vibe you prefer.  I personally love live music, but think the price of it is wasted on people who are not primiarly listening to the music, KWIM?

We did a DJ the whole time as well.  A  lot of folks go for the guitarist, but we wanted music we knew and were comfortable with.
