  id wait as long as possible, you have less of a chance to chip them!

  I would also wait till last minute. In case the photog takes lots of pictures of your hand and your new wedding rings... you don't want any chips. How exciting!!!! It's almost your day Oh.. and if your nails are pretty make sure future husband is carrying all your luggage so they don't get dinged!

  If you're getting gels, you should have no problems going from Saturday to Tuesday.  Just be careful with travel.  I just got my first gel manicure, and I've moved, checked baggage, flown, worked on the wedding, etc for 1 week and 5 days now without chips.  The only sign of age is that my nails are growing out.  I HEART GEL MANICURES.  :-)
  
  Let me also state that normally, if I survive 24 hours without a chip, it is deemed a HUGELY successful manicure.

  Cool! I've never had gels before. I had acrylics for years, but stopped many years ago.  I hated being a slave to my nails every 2 weeks.  But we'll see how I like the gels because I do miss having pretty looking nails.

  I am getting mine done the morning of the wedding because I know I will chip at least one nail if I have them done any earlier. Good luck!
