His ring doesn't fit and there is 2 weeks before the wedding :(

Just a quick vent about this. I got his ring and sized and everything back in September and then he had some health complications and was in the hospital in mid-October and today was the first day he has tried on his ring since before he was sick and it totally just fell off his finger. I called the place I got it from and it would take 3-4 weeks to get a new one in :( Just little things you have been looking forward to for a long time. Oh well, we'll still be married.

  • Well I know another Knottie awhile back posted a link for this website.  You can put in the code BRIDES at check out and the ring is free, you just pay the $25 in shipping.

Kaylee, Kleem15, saw it posted on the knot from another bride and tried it herself just to test it out and it was shipped in a week.  She said she was pretty happy with the quality, too!

Maybe that will help?  Otherwise, go to kohls or somewhere and buy a cheap ring until his fits again!
  • Talk to your jeweler as well, sometimes they have rings on hand that will fit, you can send his out to be sized and use a case ring. Not always though, but they may have a solution to help as well, I'm sure its not the first time it's happened :)

    Good Luck!!

  • I am really mad about that 25 dollars wedding band, my fiance's ring looks just like one of those except it has lines in it, but for 25 dollars i would have totally made him switch his mind. We spent a good 350
  • I know aren't men's rings crazy. I actually got his at Sam's Club for $99 and would have gotten the same ring at a jewelers for almost $400, but I guess that's what I get for getting it there instead of a jewelers. Thanks for the advice ladies!

  • i know you can get this metal piece that clips on the ring to make it smaller, not sure what theyre called but i think u can buy them at the jewelers
  • Um, wow@ that $25 ring link! Need to get FI to pick one of those!

  • We're checking out those $25 rings tonight! Had FI stop by the jewelers today to get sized so we could get one. Can't pass up the deal... for $25! I'll post when we get his.
  • Just so you all know I did a little background reearch on this company and the rings are not white gold like you would get at a jewelers, but carbonide, which are especially good for people who are allergic to gold and white gold. Just so you know what you're getting, but what he don't know won't hurt him! (Or you're budget for that matter)

  • I would not recommend adding a metal ring guard ( the piece someone mentioned above).  Metal ring guards will scratch the ring.  You might try a plastic/rubber ring guard. Wal-mart sells clear ring guards for women's rings., they are VERY cheap.  I don't know that they sell them for men's rings but I would check.  When I say very cheap, I mean under $5.

Usually it is a pack for $2.00 with different sizes inside. They fit on tightly, you want to turn it so it is on the side of the palm side of your hand and not visible.

Clair's at the mall may also have them.
