Not looking forward

Good morning everyone, well here it's morning (Toronto, Ontario) :-)

So I know that we still have like 18 months to go until our big day but I was wondering what is the one thing that you are not looking forward to planning?

I think for me will be the seating chart, I am sooo not looking forward to arranging that. No quite sure why but just thinking about makes me cringe.

I would have to also say the seating chart. I am a worry wart and worry about everything... I am so afraid I am going to stick people together that don't want to be together or more people are going to come than anticipated. Most of the weddings I have been to in my area have been open seating and not had a seating chart and I have thought about that also. However, we are having cupcake centerpieces and I don't want many extra tables than needed because that just means buying more cupcakes. Gosh, I just don't know.. blah. It's making my stomach turn just thinking about it now, lol.

I am not doing a seating chart, but that worries me only because I hope people can sit where they want and there is enough room.

I'm not looking forward to the time when FI's family realizes that FSIL is not in the wedding party. (She is a "Frenenemy" and I don't want her in my wedding party.) We were going to have her be an usher but an etiquette book saved me, it said that females should not usher people to their seats. Thank you etiquette.

Heath: I don't blame you... I am not having my own sister in my wedding party and I think she'll be okay with that. It's ultimately your decision anyway.

I'm with you Jackie. If it was up to me and if I had the money, I would just go somewhere hot (south) and do it! But I am looking forward to everything that we are planning... our theme is Fall/Harvest but in reality it's "FUN for big kids" lol....

all the last min stuff, all the last min DIY stuff like the flowers and center pieces

the seating arrangement i'm stealing my brothers plan from his wedding and on FI's side its more friends then family so im not too worried about that. except for the one GM that has gone out with or at least hooked up with pretty much 1/2 the girls at wedding and all those girls hate him lol

I have been lurking on TK forever, bur now that it's here, I'm not looking forward to planning it! I think the guest list me out. My FI and I are paying for it all ourselves and, the less people we can invite, the more we can splurge on food etc. Our moms have it up to around 170-180 and we cannot do that.

I am NOT looking forward to being in a room with over 100 people with all eyes and attention to us.. I am trying to get over this but omg it makes me nauseas thinking about it.

brittney: I feel the same way, we are paying for our wedding, and the less the better. We have edited our list 3 times already to see who we can cut. My side will be more friends than family, his side with be more family than friends... i'm sure we'll still change it plenty of times by the time we need to submit it lol

I would have to say when certain family members find out I am not asking my cousin's wife to be a BM...my cousin married one of my friends ( I was in their wedding) After the wedding she turned into a psycho B*****.....she thinks I will ask her but she thought WRONG. I'm sure my cousin's mom (my aunt) will put her 2 cents in like she always does..ugh.

I also want it to be closer! I want to do everything now! : )

yea we still have talks over 'the list" when we started it we had 130 in our head as the number we wanted, when we were done it was up to 210.. since then we have been able to cut it down to 170. sucks!

funny last weekend we had nothing to do and were wondering if we have 170 ppl that we are inviting to the wedding how come we have no one to hang out with lol

I'm not looking forward to the prospect of drama cropping up from family members as the wedding draws closer. My FMIL thinks that my FI's sister and her husband should be in our wedding party, but my FI and I decided to try and keep our wedding party small because I have WAY TOO MANY friends and cousins to pick from, lol! So, we asked my FI's sister to sing at our wedding and might ask her husband to be an usher. I just hope that nobody causes drama over that!
