City venues on a budget

Hi Ladies,

Can anyone offer some suggestions for city venues that are on the cheaper side?  My fiancee and I are hoping for a Saturday night wedding in Sept/Oct 2012.  We are flexible for a Sunday if the price dictates.  We are hoping to spend no more than $140-$150 per person (all inclusive of tax/fees and bar)

Any suggestions for a Saturday evening venue in the city that would fit this price range?

Thank you all for your help!

Melissa

You might be able to do that on a Sunday at The Down Town Club. That is where I am having my reception and have been very happy with them so far. I think they discount Saturday afternoon as well if that would be something you were interested in.

Hilton on City Avenue is also a good location...It is not in the City but is close enough

Ballroom at the Ben might be in that range.  I was looking for Spring 2012 and they quoted me something around $135pp for March, $145 for April and $155 for May (I think)....so I'm not sure where the fall fits into their sliding scale, but they might be worth checking out.  They also run the Chrystal Tea Room - not sure if their prices are the same though.

Also, I know of people using the Cescephe group (Tendenza, Cescephe, Curtis Center) for a price in that range on a Friday night.  So that might be worth looking into.  And I think the Marriott in center city would be in that range. On a Friday or Sunday, my venue the Loews might be in that range.  Also some of the Sofitel might work with Friday/Sunday pricing.

You should be able to get Tendenza for that price.  I'm having my wedding there on a Sat night in May 2012.

You also may want to try Marriott Courtyard. They have a nice venue.
