Hey Everyone!

I've been away from the knot for about a week or so. I've missed you all and am trying to get caught up on everything. Some updates--There are 9 days left for my guests to RSVP...and sadly my guest list is still growing (what the hello kitty?!?!?!) Our original ideal 175 guest wedding has ballooned to 488. (head to desk moment). FI purchased our rings a few weeks ago! :) Yay! but they told him my band may not be in by the wedding. Well they called him today and said they were in! He has to call them back to make sure both are in and not just his. I spent a week job hunting in FI's city (I've been applying online mostly)  this past week and one place where I applied wanted to interview after I turned in my application and then wanted to higher me on the spot but unfortunately the pay wasn't going to be enough and the hours were only part time. I also had other good leads so hopefully I'll hear something back. My to-do is getting shorter so yay! :) Also, I found out that one of my mom's friends will be throwing me a shower at her home! 40 days to go!! Woo hoo!!! :) Hope everything is going well for you all! :)

    It sounds like you are moving right along. How on earth did you go from 175 to 488?! Is 488 a typo?

    Congrats on the job offer, sorry it didn't work out. Have a blast at your shower! Do you know when it is?

    Ok girl you about gave me a heart attack with the 488!! I'm going to re-start my heart and assume you mean to type 188. How exciting that your friends are throwing you a shower! And a big WOO HOOO for your to do list getting shorter! Yay for that!

    My 110 went to 160. :(

    Bad place is I found out the restaurant that was supposed to hold 130-144 only holds 122 if you don't count the bar seating (bar seating only gives you about 5 chairs) and less than that after you remove tables for the dance floor.

    Good luck with the job hunt! I hope too that 488 is a typo.... or that your venue is big enough for that. Mine wouldn't be. Have a great shower!

    No the 488 is not a typo. Undecided My venue holds 500 but no way in the world did we anticipate getting that number and ugh I still have invites to send out but they're included in that number..and the sad part of it all is it's my family and I'm afraid I may not have enough and will have to run out to Michaels and get some. My stress level has risen incredibly in the last 2 days. I keep waking up from sleep thinking about this guest list. As of right now 43 of the 488 have RSVP'd ....My grandmother and aunts are paying for our reception as a gift but my grandmother has taken that liberty to increase the list...dramatically! So I have told her I have no more invites...so no more people.. lol Trying to stay positive. Smile

    Also, I got another job offer today...but for another part time job...I really need a full time job or a part time that will pay incredible!! So keep me in your thoughts and prayers please!. :)

    My head count is at about 500 right now....=)) And I'm loving it. Of course where I come from BIG weddings are normal..almost an every weekend type of thing

    I would love a big wedding too! However, my FI wants one more intimate and so we came up with a happy medium of 175 now it has ballooned back to 490+ ! Thankfully my family offered to pay as a gift to us. I'm excited about the guest coming but it's causing a headache trying to keep up with everyone my grandmother is inviting because she's inviting people and telling me later and then I have to get an invite out to them and I just ran out of invites...so off to the store I go! :)
