XP: Invitations Mailed? Check! Cake Order Finalized? Check! License Obtained? Check!

Done. Done. Done. FI took the day off today and we were very productive.

Invitations Mailed. Of course, since I had only one invitation to put in the mail, that part was easy (my cousin is taking care of the other 59 invitations). Done!

Cake Finalized. Next, we visited the cake lady. FI already knew he wanted chocolate chocolate mousse, tasted it again and confirmed. He forgot to bring along the photo, so he's emailing that. He wrote a check for the balance. Done!

License In-hand. After that, we headed to the courthouse to get the marriage license. No one was in line, so there was zero time for butterflies. The funniest part? When the clerk asked if I was, in any way, related to the groom. LOL! For the record, I answered "No!" Done!

Tomorrow, FI and his best man head out to rent their tuxedos. My best man already has his. That one-third of a check becomes a full check at some point tomorrow afternoon. We are, officially, on a roll.

Oh yeah, and we stopped by the venue for our own private walk-through. *Sigh*

That's awesome!  What a productive day.  Today was the first day we could get our license, but FI is off on his bachelor party fishing trip, so it has to wait.

I'm excited to do that. :)

Awesome! I can't wait until we can get our marriage license, but we have to wait until June. Our marriage licenses expire after 30 days, and I don't want to risk getting it too early and them not getting it in time or something, and having to get re-married to make it "official" by the government. :P

I had a pretty productive week myself for checks, I'm done designing my favors and almost done assembling them all (just have to finish scoring the boxes and then putting candies in, shouldn't take too long). I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a new comb to hold my veil on with for 5 dollars, two tapered candles and a "wedding candle" to make my own unity candle set, and place cards. I bought both of my BM's gifts, got all the rest of the ties for the groomsmen, and planned out my whole reception hall floorplan. :)

Doncha just love when so much comes together? Congrats!

We can actually apply for our license online, I looked into this last week. If one of us (me) is a resident in state, I can fill it out, fax to them (or pick it up and have it notarized there. Have to wait until it's only 33 days before the wedding though.
