bridal party hair and makeup

Did you or are you going to have your maids have their hair/MU done?  All of my girls want to get their hair done and are going to pay for it. Now that we are getting so close to the wedding, I am thinking of surprising them and having my makeup girl do theirs as an additional part to their gift.  But, I just can't decide. It's a bit expensive but since I splurged for f8 studios, I wonder if professional makeup on everyone would just look stunning.  Plus, it might be really fun for us all to play dress up and get everything done professionally.  Did anyone do this and did you think it was worth it?  Just talking out loud.  :) Thanks for listening.

I asked my girls if they wanted hair and make up done and most of them prefered to do their own make up.  You might want to run the idea by them before you do anything.

I did hair and makeup for my BP and yes I thought it was worth it.  My sister wanted to do her own makeup--she was most comfortable with that so I said fine.  She still looked great in all the pictures.  I had Kristin do my mom's makeup in her place (and she looked FANTASTIC!).

I would just be prepared that someone may not want it done and that you'll have to be OK with that if it's a surprise to them.

ETA:  I don't know how big your BP is but allow ALOT of time--it took so much more time to get everyone ready than I ever thought it would.

I'm paying for hair and partial makeup for my girls.  They all told me they like their own foundation and are more comfortable doing that, but my MUA is going to do their eyes, cheeks, and lips for them.    I thought that was a pretty happy medium and they will all look great for photos!

I offered hair and makeup to all my BM's, surprisingly, most of them wanted to do their own makeup (except 2), but all wanted hair to be done professionally.  I am paying for this because it's a wedding associated cost.

I paid for both hair and make-up and it was worth it. I don't remember if an option was given, probably so. However, when I offered it to them, no one declined. Like Donna said, it is a wedding related cost; I couldn't expect any of them to pay for it themselves.

yeah, maybe I should ask them. I just assume everyone would want it done. If someone offered free professional makeup to me, I would be like hell yeah!  But that's a great idea.  I would hate for their to be weird feelings about it if someone didn't want it done. But, I also don't want them to say no because they don't want me to pay, ya know?

Just offer it and if they don't want it, move on.
